I don't eat meat but looks like they also serve seafood.

They will accommodate you. My wife does not like seafood, so they replaced all seafood dishes with something else. Just let know when you purchase it.

  2. The chocolate martini was to die for. Here are some pictures from our Chef's Table experience. Forgive me as I forgot some of the courses. but some of them were Beef Carpaccio,  Lobster Salad, Filet with Lobster Tail, Smoked Tomato Soup (I think), Scallops, Chocolate Martini and this Chocolate Molten Cake that was the best dessert I ever had in my life.

  3. My wife and I ate ate at the Chef's Table 2 years ago on Adventure of the Seas and will do so again on Harmony this October. We loved it. The food and the wine pairings were excellent. If you are a hard core foodie you may not be that impressed, but I consider myself a medium foodie and I thought it was excellent. Of course different ships may have different experiences, but I highly recommend the experience.

  4. I love craps and though it can be intimidating to some if you watch the "Wizzard of Odds," videos you will get the hang of it. Here is what I do. I usually place a bet on pass or don't pass (If the table is hot pass, if the the table is cold don't pass) and then odds. I also put a $6 place bet on the 6 and 8 to receive proper odds back. Next to the seven as the number that has the most combinations to being rolled, the 6 and 8 are next. Do not get caught up in the proposition bets like field and hard ways. I am not an expert craps player by any means but after reading several books on playing craps this seemed like the best strategy for me.

  5. The thing I like about purchasing specialty restaurants (or anything else for that matter like excursions and drink packages) in advance is you don't get hit with a big  bill at the end of your cruise. I like going into my cruise knowing most everything is paid for and if the price goes down at any point before your cruise you can cancel and rebook at the lower price.

Post #6 in this same thread has a photo of the list.

Thanks did not see that pic up close. I'm curious if there are different brands of whiskeys in some of the other bars on the ship. On a previous menu that I found on another ship for 2018 I saw that they had Whistle Pig Rye and Templeton (2 of my favorites) but I know that each ship may have different liquors. I am hopeful that Harmony has a better selection of whiskeys than what I saw on the English Pub menu.

This forum is also very helpful for specific questions.

I agree I get most of my information and decisions made by reading this great forum. You can go to the  Port of Calls section and read all about things you can do. Most of your cruise planner options are discussed at great length here as far as specialty restaurants, drink packages, shows and even debate what to wear on formal night. I also might recommend looking up some you tube videos on your particular ship. There are plenty of videos that offer tours of the ship layout and things you can do. Don't stress, part of the fun of a cruise is that you get to decide exactly what you would like to do.

one thing I found very interesting was on the episode of the HOL ship doing the Norwegian fjords. This cruise lines has a reputation for being an old folks line. It seemed like there were quite a few younger people on board, well , younger than I am. A lot of people were able to do some of the excursions which were quite demanding.

I agree loved that episode. These shows are a wonderful way to see cruise itineraries as well as see the ships. The other things that I find fascinating are the behind the scenes stories, things like what a cruise director does and the problems they face as well as getting passengers to their excursions and mechanics of guiding a ship through the fjords.

The description online said 1 hour 1t minute bus ride, our guide on the bus said 1 hour 5 minutes.  RCCL doesn't have reviews directly in their excursions like others (carnival for instance) where someone can post this info so others know.  The iPhone app didn't mention travel time at all. A few people Sitting in front of us didn't even realize it was supposed to be over an hour ride even.

Thank you! Another reason why CC is so important to read people's reviews of their excursions to make informative decisions before booking an excursion.

the excursion was good overall but you are in the bus (25 ish seater van) for about 4 hours.

Curious if this information can be found anywhere before someone makes an excursion like this. If I saw it in the cruise planner I would be like cool I want to do that. But if states that drive time information that would be a deal killer for me. I would like to know if you read or found out this information before booking the excursion. btw great vlog, I'm enjoying your review very much!
