  1. One thing to be aware of because it happened to me, is that before the massage the therapist will go over the form you filled out and suggest other treatments and products and then afterwards hit you up for those things. I was bothered by this as all I wanted was a massage nothing else and not a bunch of sales pressure. Another cruiser posted on this forum what he does and works very well. On the form you fill out, put in big letters "No Product Sales."

     - I can’t help but say the logistics behind planning this last minute unexpected operation sort of fascinate me..

I have also been fixated on this story. I find it to be very compelling and interesting. I only wish RCI would send a video crew to document it all like they did on the "Project Atlantis" video with Allure getting it's bearing changed. My guess RCI does not focus on the negative aspect of the story but I find the story itself to be very interesting.

  3. Considering that we always pack for a cruise with a 2 large and 2 small carry one having to not pay for the two checked bags is a savings. Hopefully one day we will get motivated to pack light. I know of some people who can go on a 14 day with just a carry one.

I think the cattle call boarding is better than it used to be. Have you flown SW since they started assigning numbers in line? That really helps since, amazingly, people do what they should and just line up in the correct order.

Yes you are right. It is much better. I just like having assigned seats.

Are you set on only considering Southwest for some reason?

Southwest was the only airline in our home town of Kansas City to offer non stops to Orlando and they were $200-$300 cheaper than some of the other airlines. As much as I hate the cattle call boarding of Southwest, It seemed like the better deal.

Does your cruise line offer airfare. We quite often find it much cheaper booking thru the cruise line.

I looked into Air2 Sea and the prices were the same as doing it ourselves. Plus Southwest does not participate  in that program. I think we will just go ahead and get the tickets now and if the price lowers rebook and get a credit.

  7. That's what I thought but never hurts to ask. I've read where Airlines will adjust prices that show up on Tuesdays. I think we will go ahead and book since we found good nonstop flights and times. I just wish it was cheaper than the $1,000 I will end up paying. Our roundtrip two years ago to San Juan for a cruise was cheaper than flying to Orlando.

  8. I have not booked with Southwest in a long time. We have found the flights we want for our Oct. Cruise on Harmony, and have checked everyday to see if the prices change or get cheaper. So far nothing. Does anyone know how much and when is the best time to book on Southwest. The Anytime and Business Select are $200 more dollars than the Wanna Get Away and I know the differences. I'm just curious if Business Select and Anytime fares go down at all? Also trying to figure at what point do I go ahead and book? I would hate to wait looking for a fare to be reduced and then find everything sold out on that particular flight. Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated.

The dine drink discover promo is totally different than the BOGO or a 3 or 5 night package. The DDD is a perk for Boardwalk or CP balconys only. We had the BOBO and the 5 night package on Symphony last NOV.  Used it starting on night three and had Chops, 150, Jamie's and Wonderland.  Hooked was also included, the only exception was  Izumi Grill . Also on Symphony they no longer pre assign any restaurant,  just make all your reservations as soon as you board.

That's good to know, thank you. Now if I can only find if on Harmony they restrict which restaurants  you can use it on.

I just checked our Harmony sailing and it also says it can not be used in Chops.  It says:

Offer is non-transferable and not combinable with Crown & Anchor discounts or any other offer or promotion. Dine, Drink, Discover promotion cannot be redeemed in Chops Grille.  Offer is subject to availability and change without notice and may be withdrawn at any time.

What I am curious about is what's the difference between the BOGO Dining package and the Dine, Drink, Discover Promotion. Sounds like two separate things. Anybody know?
