Exactly! I get it but I would wish they would make things to last.

Same with my parents machines. Lasted forever. I’ve been told by many appliance repair people that the manufacturers only want appliances to last only 10 years.

Knee surgeon wants me to wait 3 months before having another surgery due to infection concerns. That would put me in the first week of February so I have surgery scheduled for the Valentine’s Day on the 14th. The only reason hernia surgery could get moved up if my intestines start poking out and I have severe pain.

Problem is when I lay down that’s when my knee hurts the most and restless leg syndrome sets in. I do better when I’m moving around a little. I’m so tired as I only get about 4-6 hours a sleep per night.

Lindas doing better than me. Her pain has not been bad at all but then again her arm is in a sling and she’s not moving it any. She has her post op Thursday and should get the ok to start therapy which will be good. Hernia is extremely uncomfortable and hurts. I don’t think it’s gotten to the point where I need emergency surgery but waiting another 6 weeks before I can have it fixed is weighing on me. I’m frustrated only in that I’m hurting 24/7 with either my knee or groin. Life is not fun right now. I don’t want anyone to feel sorry for me. It is what it is and I will get better.

We usually get extended warranties on all our appliances but with the dishwasher we didn’t this time. Our mistake.

Not to make any more excuses but I also wasn’t wearing my glasses when I did those two posts. Still I need to proofread. Appliances used to last a long time not any more. I’ve been told to not expect more than t10 years on major appliances. My parents refrigerator lasted over 25 years.

I’m a idiot. My mind is not with it today as I’m hurting. Going to be one of those days I think. I should go back to bed. Just got out of therapy and I’m exhausted and sore.

Since we decorate very heavy with over 7 decorated trees I have everything set up by Thanksgiving. This year because of my knee replacement on November 3rd I had it all up by Halloween. It’s a lot of work so I take my time tearing it all down. I’ll start January 6th and it will take me at least a week to put everything away. I have to be careful this time with my hernia. Don’t want to rip it more open.

Well so far 2924 sucks! Dishwasher just went out. It was 12 years old but never run hard. We always pre washed. The fridge went out last year. Don’t make things like they used to.

Still celebrating Christmas with the 12 days of Christmas running till January 5th which is the Epiphany or 3 Kings day. Linda surprised me with a gift that she got me but misplaced it. I’m excited to try this great Tequila. Still watching the last of my Holiday movies. I think I’m over 50 now. I have a great movie watching partner.

Actually pretty good. The nerve block is wearing off but her pain is not bad at all. Still having problems getting a good sleep as she can’t get comfortable. She doesn’t need the ice machine 24 hours now just for 30 minutes 4 times a day. Hopefully the pain will not be bad. I’m sure she will feel it when she starts physical therapy. Thanks for sharing your story. I had no idea about using pig cartilage. Linda also had bone spurs but I’m not sure how bad they were. The surgeon said her rotator cuff was a medium size tear.

@mo&fran Sorry I forgot to answer your question about Linda she doing pretty good. The nerve block is starting to wear off but her pain is around a 3 so she’s surprised it’s not worse. Fingers crossed it doesn’t get too bad.
