It truly never ceases to amaze me what cruise lines will come up with to charge their passengers.  Equally amazing is what people will pay for.  (myself included!)  Some of the onboard stuff is just busy stuff to use up OBC.  This one for $60 to cook a steak....  Isn't the Lawn club grill meal on a whole cheaper than this?

I suppose for someone who has never cooked a steak, this would be interesting...so I could see the appeal in that regard.

no need for a drink package for us: mixed berry smoothie at the Elite breakfast and a latte in the Al Bacio. We don't drink alcohol. 🤣😇

    Enjoy the cruise.

    Fascinating..

But, I'm very concerned now about our upcoming cruise because we really need to be able to access a couple of things from our computer to our tv during our cruise.   Is there really no way that an HDMI can be connected to the tv's on the Eclipse?

I’m truly curious what can’t be done on the computer without mirroring the TV screen?

  4. I have sailed E Class in suite and non suite...I was just fine in the non suite.  The Retreat Lounge was a waste to me, it reminded of a Dr's waiting room.  The pool in the Retreat area was nice for sure, along with the service, that said we spent a lot of time outside of the Retreat areas on the cruise where we were  in a Sky Suite...

We met a lot of nice people around the plunge pools, and had good bar service there, and the Sunset Bar is one of my favorite bars on any ship.

You have me sold on the CoCo Cay beach club,  but finding a cruise for Jan 2026 ( our next slot) may be tricky because some ships will sail from the Orlando area. Makes no sense from Venice Fl .We avoid driving on I 4!

Happy you had such a PERFECT DAY!

East on Florida 70 then north, no I-4.

    Update……

Looks like they posted a refund for all of us of 50% of the charge for the class.  This wasn’t asked for or even expected, to be honest.

Hopefully they’ll change the description in the future.

Have to give them kudos on how it was handled now.

    Thats better for sure

I agree with the advice above that your unexpired passports are all you need. And some additional advice - when you check in at the port, do not point out date of expiration to anyone ("whew, I was worried there'd be a problem").  If you mention it, an inexperienced agent could go off to investigate, and an hour later you are waiting for the chief document person.  Just say 'thank you' and then have a great cruise.

Exactly, never make an issue of things you don’t have to.

I can't believe you're not satisfied with one or two news stations, some form of ESPN that shows sporting events one never knew existed, a channel or two that show nonstop cartoons, an onboard infomercial, or the view of the ocean ahead.  What more do you need?

Live webcam from the bridge facing forward would be nice.  🙂

X IT probably got tired of resetting any TV that was reconfigured by the previous guest who had to watch their personal video programs.

It just takes time to figure out what the previous guest has done to change the TV inputs. Why allow that voluntarily?

This is actually the best response here. Kudos.

Sorry my bad, I assumed it was clear enough from my question that I was the type who finds solace and pleasure in life only in geeky pursuits. I thought it was a given that  the most amount of fun anyone could have in a cruise was transforming the cabin into a man cave and fidgeting with the tv inputs and cables. I cannot thank you enough for opening my eyes to these unheard (by me) alternative ways of enjoyment, especially because they were so far outside the scope of my question. It's true, one never knows the wealth of incredible information that others are willing to go out of their way to provide. I feel truly humbled and blessed.
