We got hit with $200 international charges thru AT&T even though we were in port docked in Miami.  Then they cut off our phones. Apparently T-mobile & What’s App are ok….. we finally got the WIFi package to communicate with family at home but it’s just another money grab. 20 cruises we never experienced not texting or calling in a Us port.  Never.

I've never had issues in any US port with my AT&T...this is on various lines, including many on Celebrity...something went wrong for sure..sounds like a one off to me.  Surprised AT&T wouldn't help solve this billing issue...

Sorry, maybe I wasn't 100% clear on what I meant.  Normally there is a 100% guarantee or...

You cannot guarantee returning to the port on time in 100% of circumstances because there are always circumstances out of their control.  So what happens in those circumstances was what I was curious about.

Probably you get your money back. 🙂

I suspect my husband was misinformed by a crew member when he placed his drink order at the Sunset Bar.  He told me that the gentleman he spoke with was difficult to understand.   The app menu shows the normal bar menu.  That being said, we went to the pool bar and ordered a mocktail that was on their menu and the bartender didn’t know what we were talking about.  I had to explain in plainer english.

He was given bad info re the Sunset Bar for sure…

And yet you're both reading this thread

I’m not curious as to what happened..I do wonder why others care..explain it to me?

I am not drawn to tragedy..I suppose some are.

When someone says there was a scary announcement, that to me means the ship may have been in trouble etc..one reason I clicked on it..

It doesn't matter what happened that prompted the call for a blood donor.

It is no one else's business.

I agree, I don’t get the fascination with this..obviously someone needed blood, nothing more to understand. Either you can/will donate or not.

  6. Mahatma Rice, cooked on a stove top, with butter as intended…but I’m not sweating that on a cruise.

I’ll put mine up against any of your automated cookers…

Help meunderstand this, So if I bet $10, and the point is 4, I can only back this up with $10 for 2:1 odds.  But if I bet $50, I can back this up with $250 for 2:1 odds?

3/4/5 odds...5 time pass line bed on the 6 and 8, 4 times on the 5 and 9, and you guessed it, 3 times on the 4 and 10.

I guess you missed my posting of the chair hogs on the "luxury" Regent Grandeur last week. We get a reserved pergola on the One Pool deck for our $10,000 Royal Suite on the Seascape and got NO special treatment on any sun deck on the Grandeur for $30,000 Grand Suite.

    People suck

Just wondering what deals folks have got when upgrading from Classic to Premium drink package.

For our cruise I'm currently seeing a 25% discount, don't know whether to bite on that or see if better comes along, were still 8 months from sailing.

You can always cancel and rebook if a better discount shows up..

  10. Fair review..my Wife and I never sail without a drink package.  It is very subjective for sure..I’m really not even sure why folks try to say they get value or not out of it..if I even come close to breaking even it’s worth it for me to not have to sign slips..it does cover more than just alcohol too..some folks forget/overlook that part..

We always enjoy looking at the art, have never gotten serious about purchasing any of it to this point..

It's like going to a restaurant, ordering an $80 steak, but getting a bill for $95 while being told the service was assumed to be so great you would naturally pay $15 tip, not $20 for extraordinary service, not $10 for less than stellar; it is no longer your choice any more the amount of tip you give, we the restaurant, decide what you will tip.

Places are going that route for sure..we all know why. Especially for larger parties..

Today, the Magnifica is anchored and no tendering because of the winds. The World Cruise Poesia is sitting there. My friend onboard is not happy.

The Eden drinks that are on the special cocktail list are set they mostly will not switch out which rum etc that goes in each one as they are set by the alcohols in them.

Agree, people tend to overthink way to much, If you have the classic just go to any bar, besides WCB and order a rum and coke, vodka soda etc you will be all set  Personally i have fun on first night at WCB and watch the issues with people who go up and try to order a basic drink, and mostly getting told to go to the next bar etc, then the customer throwing a temper tantrum, didnt happen my last cruise.  They cant understand that the bar only serves 10 or so different drinks, and none on classic level.  Tho they do serve beer and wine now

WCB will serve you any booze they have on the rocks too..obviously they charge accordingly…premium covers any that I have ever ordered.

This is too much stress. Just think about it this way: the classic package gives you a $10 discount ($17 discount with premium) on each beer/wine/cocktail you order. Worrying about what is or isn't "included" aka less than $10 is too much work.

If you're going to be drinking mostly premium cocktails with top shelf liquor, or regularly ordering premium water, then it probably makes $ense get the premium beverage package. Otherwise, stick with the classic and drink whatever you want.
