Is this the Iceland/Greenland cruise? We did this cruise on the Summit in Aqua on deck 11, which is the top deck on the Summit but not on the Eclipse. We had excellent views from our cabin for going into Akureyri and Isafjordur.
We were on Constellation (same ship class as Summit) in Aqua on deck 9 and hated the overhang.
It completely blocked views toward the sky. So if you are sailing in fjord it will NOT be good.

No deck 13 on any Celebrity ship.

I know many don't, just didn't realize it applied to Celebrity.

Never been on a Celebrity ship with more than 12 decks.

I have a guarantee on Aqua on Eclipse for Bermuda.
I have been to Bermuda before so I am willing to take a chance on a guarantee.
It looks like there is a HUGE overhang on Aqua midship. If I had a choice I would probably book forward and take a chance with the possible rough seas for a trip to Iceland.

Just noticed this on the deck plans.

As you said there is always a chance that there could be a glitch with Celebrity IT.
As long as you have copies of all the receipts it shouldn't be too hard to resolve if there is a hiccup.
-
You can always bid for a verandah.
The old saying "You pays your money and you takes your chances" fully applies in the case of guarantee cabins and move-up bids.

Could be true across the board, but I only know it’s true for the one I sometimes use, so I said could.

I thought there only was one.

Keep in mind that booking with the big box agency could make you ineligible for any MoveUp offers.
Will make you ineligible, not could.

Not exactly sure I understand the question however gratuities are based on the room you eventually get.
So if you end up in a suite you pay whatever the Sky Suite gratuity rate.
Note: There is always a chance that Celebrity’s crack IT group will make a mistake and have you prepay the Aqua rate.

I'm not asking this because we dislike kids...but to the contrary. Our recent Apex cruise we saw maybe 15 kids the whole time, and each time I couldn't help but think "those poor kids must be so bored".
So why do parents with kids choose Celebrity?
I would take my young grandchildren on Celebrity.
I talked to a few parents on one cruise and they ALL said the kids loved it.
I probably wouldn’t take children between around 11 and 20.

From celebrity's website:
For a request submitted on or before the due date of final payment, the following applies:
Request for a Lower Cruise Fare:
Celebrity will reduce cruise fare to available prevailing cruise fare. If full payment has been made, a refund will be issued.

On a MoveUp you keep your perks exactly as before - beverage, gratuity, etc. You move get those things attached to the cabin - luminae, retreat, premium beverage WHILE IN THE RETREAT, and are charged if tip cost is higher.
Drinks, beverage package and gratuities do not come along with Retreat if you do a move-up bid unless you already have AI.

When I call Celebrity sometimes the agents know what they are doing, sometimes not.
I would like to price out a change from guaranteed to an actual cabin and make the change, if it is not too much more, via the website.
Is this possible? Any idea how?
-
The list price is way too high. The only reason I booked was the 40% pre-cruise discount.
-
In my experience both Celebrity and Royal have rather poor and/or wrong shore excursion descriptions.
Sometimes the shore desk people on the ship know more information, sometimes not.
I’ve tried calling pre-cruise to get more info with generally poor results.

Last time on the Eclipse was good. Crazy but good. You won’t get Dom Perignon. I didn’t learn anything but there were one or two good sommeliers.
Did they also have snacks to go along with the tour?
i did a tour on Constellation and they had snacks.
I signed up for one on Eclipse when it was on a flash sale.

What temperature is it at? Was it warm or hot?
Warmish, definitely not hot. If you want hot then use the hot tubs, they are hot.

I'll be in the Beyond March 22nd 10 nights. Thinking of booking the World wine tour but the last 2 cruises the wine tasting has been mediocre. Can anyone who's been on this particular ship comment? I know it can be a fun experience but I hate to waste the money.
What do you mean by "mediocre"; quality of wine, amount of wine, or description provided by the "wine stewards"?

The pool in the Solarium on the M-class ships is a thalassotherapy pool.
Actually went in it, didn't know what it was called.

How do you request the move from A2 to A1? I booked A2 but I'd prefer the A1 cabins on deck 11 at no additional cost.
Try calling. But why do you think it will not cost anything?
-
Celebrity doesn't worry about the fire hazard?
-
I was just on Constellation. What is the T-pool?

I've seen this debated so many times! Is it two per person or two per cabin and depending on the day and where you look...different parts of the X website even say different things. Regardless, we'll play it safe and stick to one per person. Thank you for the clarification 🙂
It used to be 2 per person and then recently they changed it to 1 per person.
We always travel with 2 adults per cabin so not sure if there are any variants to the rules if it isn’t 2 adults.

The menu is the menu in Luminae. I don’t consider it to be a foodie snob selection but many people don’t know what is in the menu until they arrive on board. Luminae will make reasonable accommodations for food concerns (GF, vegetarian etc) and plain eaters but it can’t be all things to all people. Suite pax can eat at Blu and the MDRs if the menu is not what they are used to.
At the prices they charge they really should make what people want. Even if they have to cook special meals for individuals.

Anybody book Guarantee?
in Celebrity Cruises
Posted
That is where the saying applies.
You chose to book a guarantee and take your chances.
