Mike,
I was disappointed in the live music and I gave them a "poor" for live music on their evaluation form they left in the room. First time I ever gave them a poor for anything!!!
Patty
That's disappointing to hear. My last sailing, I had TOO many good bands to listen to on deck 4.

I haven't heard anything about a "Drydock at Sea". . . Explorer just completed a dry dock a few months ago.
I did not see any workers doing upgrades or refurbishments during my sailing. . .
You should love the Explorer of the Seas. . . I had a great time. The crew is very friendly, and the ship is beautiful.
Radio
;);)
.
Just looking at your deck pix showed the good job they did up there. It was looking pretty ratty before the dry dock.

Carnival Glory @ Half Moon Cay this past May
Looks like high tide!

Please....
The wife of the other couple we cruised with, thought having sweat shirts with the phrase "CRUISING COUPLE" would fit the bill, so one night, the four of us wore them.
The looks the other guy and I got going into the men's room.....
-
Ahem, I believe it says Don't Cross the Red Line! :)
But it's their cruise.
-
If anyone who missed it wants to see the broadcast, it is already on You Tube...
That was a bit more satisfying. :)

Thanks, Duke. NBC Nightly News filmed this past Friday. It should air on Fri or Sat evening. I'll post it when I know for sure. :)
Hopefully, it's better than that piece of crap CNN pulled.

They will freshly grill you a burger on RCI also.
Where is the grill? I have always left those grease soup hockey pucks in the pan.

Does anyone have a picture of this warm chocolate melting cake on Carnival? Royal Caribbean has been serving this for years. They call it Warm Chocolate Cake, and it is fantastic. I'm wondering what makes Carnival's soooooo much better.

Gotta love the Brits. They did a GREAT job putting this one together:
I like some of the comments, like this one:
I didn't like some of the angles chosen and probably could have made a slightly better video, but I recognise I would not be as good at laying eggs on a beach.

Yea, never mind that has been my e-mail name since I bought my first computer in 1997....
So how often do you walk the piers of KW looking for rotten tomatoes? :D
-
Thank you for that link.
One thing about these articles.....I never said I thought the camera was a rotten tomato. Why in the world would I climb down rocks to the water's edge for a rotten tomato? That comment in the AP report had me scratching my head.
I saw the AP link on my AOL homepage this morning.
I thought the fact that they insinuate that you "became" Aquahound to solve the mystery was amusing. Too bad they left out the fact that the camera owner was a member on the same website.

In my opinion MDR food is about the samen, but when it comes to the buffet here is where Royal Caribbean wins hands down. No comparison!
I've never had the samen, but yes, the food is better on Carnival.
And although the layout of the WJ is better, the food is the same stuff every day, and quite boring, as well as bland. The buffet on the Spirit class vessels has some of the best variety at sea, as well as tasty. The Chinese, the daily Taste of Nations, as well as the delicious deli just completes the experience.
There is also more availability of food on Carnival during the "off" hours. On RCCL, your only option is the Cafe Promenade, which basically is cold finger sandwiches and Ellios type supermarket pizza. If you want fresh burgers and such, there's always Johnny Rockets for a charge.
That being said, we never went hungry on the ExOS. There was always something to chose from the menu (but I did leave my food twice on one sailing, as the Turkey and the Lobster were horrid).

Great work Paul! Now... Twenty-five years ago I went to the Jersey Shore. I went into the ocean with my car keys in my pocket.
I hope you got rid of that thing, at least through the cash for clunkers fiasco!

Are you saying..."Throw the camera":D;););)
LOL.:)
Not from these fingers!

And some people think MESSAGE IN A BOTTLE stories are cool.
7 more pages to go! :)

Prairie Gal,
Could you advise........what is just below 4232 on the Miracle ? Deck plan seems to show that there is a walking promenade on 3rd deck. If so, is balcony open to public looking up ? (as 6th floor is from lanai on Dream).
Also, do you get enough sun during the day with the overhang ?
Thanks.
The walking promenade is below the main deck balconies, so you can't see them, and they can't see you.

And yes, you get as much sun as you do on the side balconies.

It was a big hit for Peter' date=' Paul and Mary and was written by John Deutschendorf, who later changed his name to John Denver.[/quote']
Too bad he didn't take his own advice.

Actually an aft wrap is now classified as a "Veranda Suite" code VS. (at least on spirit class ships) and you do get VIP boarding...
Vista suite.

Sometimes that wake is not so peaceful
and other times.....

Room 7302, pulling into Bermuda with that glorious island as a backdrop...
and then as our balcony room for 3 glorious days
-
sorry for asking probably a stupid question, but do they give you a discount, or did you have to pay full price for the adjoining cabin.
Full price (plus a single supplement).
-
Which room allows 3.. the aft beside the wrap???
Yes. 2 beds and a sofa.
-
How many in an aft? We are a family of 5 can these cabins hold 5? If not can we get the aft balcony next to the wrap and remove barrior? As of now we're looking at a cruise sometime in fall of 2011.
Yes. The 4237/4239 combo even has a connecting door inside. The same on the opposite side (4228/4230)
Is there a morgue onboard?
in Carnival Cruise Lines

People die at sea every week.
Yes, there are morgues on board.
On the Legend, they use the urns.
