  1. Thanks for the video! Looks interesting...please let me know how you like it when you go on your cruise as my cruise will be in May out of NY. I think this is something we may do!
  2. I have never done the thermal spa on a cruise. I see I can purchase a pass for the entire cruise. Does it get crowded? There is an emotional shower listed. What is this? Are the loungers heated? Is there staff that you would have to tip there? Any info will be appreciated!
  3. I got a call from my MSC cruise concierge! Didn't know they had them or that I had one lol I asked what the daily gratuity charge was. It is $14 per person per day . Less than RCL which is now $16 per person per day. This could have been prepaid if I booked through him but now I need to call MSC customer service if I want to prepay the gratuities. Also he said I can pick a main dinning room time because I booked the Fantastica package. Anytime between 5:30 and 7:30 Didn't know that was part of the package! Have to visit the dining room when you get onboard.
  4. We were on Oasis and did the 3 night dining package. The only night in the main dining room that I was interested in making sure we were eating there was lobster night. Did Giovanni, Chops and 150. Giovanni filet was the best I ever had and out of the 3 I liked this restaurant the best. Chops was just OK and 150 was very good. All main dining room menus are in the app.
  5. Thank you everyone! Thank you for answering my questions and for the menus and the coffee menu too! The main dinning room choices all look great. Any favorites you can recommend? How are the speciality restaurants? Suggestions please 🙂 Thanks again!
  6. I just booked MSC Meraviglia out of NY in a Fantastica balcony cabin with the Easy Plus package for a week at the end of May 2023. The price was just to good to pass up when compared to Royal Caribbean or Norwegian prices. We have done this cruise itinerary before but I am looking forward to their private island. Our last cruise was on Oasis of the Seas and it went to Labadee Haiti RCL's private area off the coast of Haiti. It was nice but getting loungers was difficult if you were not off the ship early enough. Will this be the same on MSC private Island? Since we are new to MSC I have a few more questions: Is anyone familiar with the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal? I know MSC is first starting to cruise from here in April. We usually go out of NJ or Manhattan and have never sailed from Brooklyn. Any info would be appreciated 😀 Does anyone have any menus from the main dinning room? I have searched and can't seem to find any. Is lunch served in the dining room every day including port days? Is there fresh squeezed orange juice available at breakfast? If I want a Vanilla Latte and I see lattes are included in the easy plus package do they charge extra for the vanilla syrup? When are the speciality restaurant packages usually available for online purchase? Right now since I am so far out nothing is showing up. What is the gratuity charge per day? Do they add this onto your account to pay at the end or can this be pre paid? Does MSC do a Black Friday Sale? Thanks in advance!
  7. On my Oasis cruise this past August the 3 night dinning package when on sale I paid $92.99 per person. This was before the price increased to $101.00 per person by the time we boarded.
  8. The filet!! It is soooomuch better than Chops filet!
  9. Looking for information on the central park balconies on Oasis of the Seas. I know Central Park is on deck 8. What deck is the best for a cabin? How is the noise level? Did you use the balcony? What do you think of the facing balconies, would you book this again? We always get ocean view balcony but I am looking to save some $$ this time as the ocean is about $300 per person more for the sailing I am looking at. Thanks!
  10. I am getting that message for about 4 days now. Tried on a Mac using Safari, my iPhone, a PC using Firefox and also DuckDuckGo! It is the only ship that has this issue.
  11. OK will call Casino Royal and ask. In reading all the fine print it looks like it can be done...fingers crossed! Thanks!
  12. Just got back from my cruise and I have $100.00 from the casino to use on any cruise. I also have a 10% MyVegas offer and another MyVegas for $100 on board credit. Can all of these be used together for my next cruise? Has anyone done this? Thanks
  13. We tried this room on Adventure a few years a go before Covid. Lots of room to spread out. Picture window was over the bridge and we had to keep the curtain closed at night so the light did not interfere. It was good until we hit a storm. I don't get sea sick but that night I did. The rocking got to me bad. Ginger chews to the rescue! Never again. Mid ship cabins on mid to low decks for me!!
  14. I just got the apple watch 7 without cellular and I was wondering how it will work if my iPhone is on airplane mode on the cruise. Will it change time zones? Does it stay hooked up to my iPhone? If I use the ships voom with my phone will the watch work like it does with my cell plan at home? Thanks!
  15. Leaving at the end of the week...yay! I was wondering which slots everyone loves to play in the casino. Looking online at some photos and the casino looks huge! Whats your favorite game? Have the slots been tight or loose lately for you?
  16. We are on the same cruise 🙂 We did Bermuda end of April and that was more stressful then this one because the Bermuda authorization needed to be uploaded to Bermuda Government and then you had to wait for the OK from them that you were cleared. Planning on getting tested Wednesday afternoon at City MD It's quick 15 minutes. I get a printout also besides the app info so I can show them this with my vax card and passport. You only need to go to 1 restaurant to make your specialty reservations so don't worry about running all over the ship!
  17. Wow! Thats a great trick! We usually stick close together and just use the same card. But this is a game changer 😀
  18. Will be on Oasis of the Seas and I was looking at the menu. What is everyone's favorite appetizer and main course at this restaurant? Trying to decide if eating here is as good as I have read 😋
  19. We were on the ncl joy at the end of April. The food does not even compare to Royal Caribbean. The main dining room was awful. We ended up eating in all specialty restaurants our dinners for the entire trip. On Royal we really enjoyed the main dining room. They have an area in the casino with glass doors just for the smoking area and every time the doors open that whole area outside stinks because all the smoke comes out into the non-smoking area of the casino. The casino on the joy is very small also. As for comparing balcony cabins rcl cabins are larger and feel more spacious.
  20. We will be on the 8/5 sailing too 🙂 I will be interested in what you think of Coastal Kitchen as this is the 1st time we will be doing this.
  21. I received my Royal Up for Oasis leaving beginning of August. Junior Suite $420 pp. I love my balcony location so I am not going to bid...unless this comes down to half lol
  22. Thank you everyone! I booked it 🙂 Hubby always wanted to do a wine pairing dinner and this looks good.I booked the 3rd night at sea so I can confirm lobster night onboard before I make my reservations for the 3 night speciality package we also have. I was thinking of doing the UDP but the price is crazy for this cruise even with the so called 4th of July sale. Besides we enjoy the main dinning room on RCL for dinners. We just did a cruise on NCL Joy and the main dinning was awful. We ended up eating all meals except for that one awful dinner in their speciality restaurants. I guess we are really loyal to royal!
  23. Hi Everyone We are going on Oasis 8/5 and I was looking at booking Chefs Table. Is it worth the price? Did you enjoy it? How long was the meal? We already have the 3 night dinner package booked. I looked at the UDP and the cost now is just crazy even with the July 4th sale pricing. Also does anyone know what night is lobster night on a 9 night cruise? Any review will be appreciated!
