  1. I too try to read between the lines. some people are never satisfied no matter what. also it is amazing how many people become food critics when they board a ship. Do things to wrong? Of course, but you make the best of whatever. Land vacations can go wrong also. Read the reviews for suggestions and descriptions of activities. Everything else is subjective. We love the Oasis, but Liberty is our favorite. Never been on a bad cruise. Each cruise line and each ship has its own personality. Try not to compare. Enjoy the ship you are on.

  2. yes, both doors open to the aqua pool but you just walk around the balcony and have total privacy facing the ocean. it will of course be opposite on the other side of the ship. you do have to go through the bedroom to get to the bathroom. The living room is at an angle. the only furniture in the room when we went was the built in in living room and bedroom and a soft and bed. cute lights over the bed. flooring is definitely different and of course it is the last cabin on the deck. Very shortly I hope to see people posting what the final product looks like.

the new royal suite on 17 will also be awesome. it is not a loft but does have the floor to ceiling 2 story windows.

  3. 11330 is 95% complete. I got to visit the cabin. It is wonderful. Bedroom has a door so it is really private as well as a door to balcony. balcony faces both the aqua pool and on the other side is facing the ocean. Great views. the ones on deck 12 and 14 are smaller but 14 has great views. I also visited the new suite on deck 17. really awesome. I promised not to post the pictures to cruise critic. my email is cmcgarrahan@sc(dot)rr(dot)com

  4. We have eaten twice in sabor. Loved it. We shared the $ 20 sampler. Had a quesadellia , fresh made guacomole, our small plate was bacon wrapped chicken and jalapeño. Delish, entree shrimp also delist. We had to skip the desert box. Too much sugar for me. Armand was our waiter. Very entertaining

I will plan on doing that unless someone else does the same. My granddaughter is not too thrilled about the dd. she like the mdr experience of having the same table and same waiter each night. She loves her baked potato and on all her cruises they had one for her each evening without her having to ask. Made her feel special.

  6. For anyone currently on the Oasis I am curious about the bar on the sun deck - not the lounge bar - Is it open all day. is it completely stocked like other bars - since the lounge bar is open from 11:30-8:30 with complementary drinks - does this also apply to the sun deck bar? I purchased a beverage package and wondering if I should cancel it?

I am sure you are right about people in js complaining. However, each ship has their own areas for each. some don't even have diamond lounges. Of course, I read where one poster was upset because she as a diamond plus would have to share the lounge with diamond members on the Oasis who did not have as many points as her. She felt she should only be with suite guests and pinnacles. You can't please everyone. I just enjoy being on a ship and on vacation

  8. Well said. since it is our 40th anniversary we are splurging for a crown loft. The smell worries me. Is it from the construction? Will Coastal Kitchen be open by 11/8. Will they still be constructing the royal suites - 1 cabin down from us? Had I known about these changes and possibilities of things not being opened, I would have gone at a later date. I love the Oasis but things should be open. One might expect a few minor things still being done after drydock but not major construction. Maybe they should have stayed in drydock a few weeks longer?
