  1. I did a search and seems like conflicting info. We want to rent a car for the day after our Oasis cruise. We would need to be picked up at the port. we are returning the car at the FL airport since we have a late flight. Anyone know which rental agency will pick us up and also any suggestions of what to do for 9 hours? Thank you in advance

  2. I have booked the June 13, 2015 eastern cruise on the Oasis. You won't be disappointed with this ship.

    Our itinerary is:

    Ft. Lauderdale - 5PM

    Nassau 7AM-2PM

    cruising

    St. Thomas - 10 AM- 7PM

    St. Maarten - 8AM-5PM

    cruising

    cruising

those 3 cruising days are just awesome

you can select my time dining if you prefer to a set time.

  3. Just get the notarized letter from her and have a great time. Don't go the forgery route. Just go up to the desk and don't say anything. They are usually so busy I don't think it crosses their mind. In fact, I never even mention they are my grand children. I just say hello show my passports, setsail pass and that's it. Less said the better. Let us know what happens. And I do agree with the poster who said don't let the sperm donor know ahead of time. (I can't call him the father anyone can make a baby but it takes a man to be a father )

  4. I have taken my grand children on 2 cruises without parents. I had a notorized letter from their Mom giving me permission to take them. it stated the name of ship and sail date as well as I had permission for medical decisions. Never have they asked to see the letter. She is the only one who signed. She has sole custody so she doesn't need father's permission. Does your grandson have a passport? He would need one. I would try to go anyway. chances they won't ask

  5. There is no problem with the dress just because it has a tank top. Taxi's are easy in Cozumel and right outside. all fares are posted. Have a great time. this is an awesome ship and your children will love it. the only speciality restaurant I have done is Chops Grille it was good. Try the roast beef in cafe promenade. They are to die for. Have breakfast at Johnny Rockets - no charge for breakfast. My grand kids love Sorrentos. they have their pizza fix at least twice a day.

  6. I was on this sailing and thankfully never witnessed people grabbing food with their hands. their were a lot of children and were the best behaved that I have witnessed with the exception of a few. The chair hogs were the worst I have seen. But I did see security remove a few towels. While I hated having towels signed out to me it really does solve a lot of problems. At the end of the day there were still a lot of towels on chairs. If they were signed out to the person then they would have had to return them for credit. The solarium lounges were completely covered by 8AM. I found 2 lounges and was almost completely alone in the solarium. There was 1 other lady in the pool. It was a great cruise

  7. I was on the Enchantment not long ago. It is an older ship and doesn't have the bells and whistles of the larger classes but we enjoyed it. It also does a 4 day. If that is not an option - remember the cabins are small especially for 4. Someone once said - pack your suitcase and take out half of what you put in. I would leave my Orlando clothes in a different suitcase in the car. the suitcases will fit under the beds which helps. talk small sizes of toiletries. share what you can. Most of the time you are wearing bathing suit and coverup. My first few cruises I took everything but the kitchen sink and never used most of what I brought. Don't forget a sweater. But most of all relax and enjoy. Luggage does not arrive immediately so carry a small backpack with bathing suit. Park Cafe was open for lunch the first day if you don't want to face the crowds in Windjammer.

  8. I cannot imagine spending the extra money for a suite just to get a few free drinks. the amount of money those drinks would cost you would never total the difference between say a GS and a standard balcony. We cruise Royal not because we earn points but because we like this cruise line. The points are just an extra nice perk. Someday we may be "entitled" to use the CL based on our number of days or we strike it rich and only stay in suites.

  9. I took my 89 year old Mother on Allure and she loved it. There is so much to do and see. and after the first day it didn't seem the least crowded. She loved the ice shows, diving show and music at Central Park at night. As for dining you could do the specialty restaurants rather than the main dining room. I have never been on Celebrity and would first find out about the sea day activities before I made my decision.

  10. Depending on how much you are going to drink - take a look at the drink package. You do not get souvenir glasses with the package. same for the after dinner drink -you don't get to keep the glass. Look at the port forums or book with the cruise line. We did this for our first few cruises. Now we feel comfortable going on our own. I have never had a problem finding a deck chair but then again we don't usually want to sit right by the pool. Relax and have a great time. Is this a special occassion? - but I have surprised my hubby with room decorations for our anniversary.
