Some people may care about the room itself and not only the perks. There are several variables and different people care about different things. For example, your wife refusing to sail unless it's a junior suite. To me, that's wasteful and not worth the extra cost and I would not have the patience to travel with someone with such frivolous demands. But you enjoy it and that's perfectly fine because it does not effect anyone else 🤷

    Seriously!!!   Frivolous demands!!!

  2. Thank you for answering my question.  Not that I own an explanation but I have not been on the boards for a while.  Then when I tried to get on I was having log on issues.  I appreciate the poster who gave a temporary fix to that situation.  Right now I am out of the country so news I get is sometimes old.  Went to the Bahama government website and saw where they said you could not get off the ship is not vaccinated. Guess I should have just gone their first.    I am not totally aware of what the situation is in Florida.  But it sounds like the cruise lines can get between a rock and a hard place trying to abide by all different countries rules.  Where I am you must show either a negative test (no more than 3 days old) or a vaccination card to enter any public place including the grocery stores and public transportation.  Masks are mandatory

  3. For me, my husband never wants to dress up.  He wants shorts and he considers his Hawaiian shirts to be dress up.  I dress for formal night and his concession is to wear long pants.  I cannot change him so I just accept.  If people don't like it then so be it.  He did consent to a Tux on our 25th anniversary. So in 2 years we will celebrate 50 maybe he will wear a tux again.

  4. Mail - have it sent to a child or other relative.  That is what we do now as we do not live in the US.  We are expats.  Bills - we pay all ours online.  Housesitting is an option.  If the thought of being away so long causes you anxiety then this is not for you.  I could not be gone that long so I know this is not for me.  As far as thieves breaking into my house.  That could happen if you are gone for the day.  Take anything of worth to a relatives house for safekeeping or get a storage shed.  If this is something you want to do then don't let the worries stop you.  I wish that I could do it - but can't

  5. Thank you for your review.  We booked this for the bumper cars, IFly and Northstar.  In our 70's but this is our second childhood.  We are coming in from the Dominican Republic (expats) so because of Covid need to get tested twice in a few days.  Oh well.  This is our life now so I am resigned to it. Oasis class still our favorite and we will probably go back to them for our next cruise.

  6. The one entertainment that is a must to reserve is the comedy club. It is a small venue and reservations go fast. Do this as soon as you are able to book entertainment. The times of each activity and the length is listed so you can see what will work with your dining time. Not all activities run every day. When you look at the cruise planner you will see which days and times to pick. I usually like to only book 1 thing each day. You will love the Oasis. It is my favorite ship.

  7. I enjoy the ones that talk about the precruise hotel and what it was like but I usually skip the details about when they left home with luggage and drive or flight. Then pick up with boarding, details, pictures etc. I like the wordy reviews that give opinions, pros and cons, also specifics about port excursions. Would like to know if the menu in the MDR changes or if there was an especially great dish that one ordered. But any review is appreciated.

  8. Make sure you book your entertainment online as soon as it opens especially the comedy show (it is a small venue and books quick) the ice show is great as well as the aqua show. Make sure you read the compass daily to see what is going on each day. It is a large ship but is so great. look at the deck plans to get familiar with the layout. Try the roast beef sandwich at park cafe. Central park is a great place to go for a quiet place to read etc.
