I personally think Azamara is inferior to Celebrity in just about every measure, however I like the itineraries that Azamara offers so I continue to sail with them as well.

I got through on the phone the other day and they had the wrong amount owing - thankfully I had my invoice showing amount due. Then the agent said she was going to put in an enquiry and she would email me back directly confirming same once it was complete. She never emailed me back, the amount owing has now changed on the website, and is about $50 less than it shows on my invoice. This is such complete and total nonsense. They don't even have records of the invoices they are mailing out to clients! They had 2 years to prepare for this transition - obviously total incompetence by the management team.

Is the Host supposed to be insulting contributors to this board???

I was finally able to find a travel agent site that showed available cabins for my sailing in August. Almost all the categories have a huge number of cabins left, but the suites are sold out. If the cruise line isn't getting its final payments (including mine), and nobody is booking future cruises because of this mess, they must be battling a huge cash flow problem right now......which makes me really not want to make my final payment now in fear they are going to go belly up. All the signs are there.....I think we should be a little more concerned about the money they do have from us right now.

I'm not aware of any TA site that currently shows available cabins for Azamara. The one I usually use to see all available cabins that the moderator deleted hasn't worked since the new website launched. Has anybody been able to find one that does show the cabins since the new website launched??

I'm sailing in August and I'm now a few weeks after the final payment due date. My cruise is listed on the website, it says booked, and of course the invoice amount, amounts owing, OBC and shore excursions listed are either completely wrong, missing the information or incomplete. I booked direct with Azamara....and I can't get through on the phone lines......so what do I do? Just wait until they contact me to get paid?? Every time I call them it says their phone lines are closed and they will be back tomorrow to help with sailings in the next 30 days. I've never called that it said the phone lines weren't down and would re-open tomorrow..... I'm not feeling good about giving them another cent until they demonstrate they aren't going bankrupt --- which it certainly appears they are.

Yes! It was an amazing cruise. Service, Food, Entertainment were all top notch. One of my best sailings on Celebrity. First time on Edge class for me - I loved the ship (but i had a sunset veranda) still not sure about whether I would like the Infinite verandas. Minor quibbles - I did not think the martini bar was designed well or in the best location, am not a fan of the single big pool on the resort deck and the sunset bar was not as nice as the other Millennium or Solstice class ships. I think a couple of these issues have been addressed on the Beyond,.

I'm wondering if someone could please explain the offers they get to book while onboard from Blue Chip Club that I hear about. I've been on 2 comped cruises this year through BCC and about to go on a third, but have never received this. I hear you get a postcard around the 2nd or 3rd day. Anybody receive these? Is it based on play the first couple days on board? Also interested in learning more about any comps while onboard for play (wifi, specialty dining etc). Thanks

I'll be on my third Blue Chip comped cruise next month on the Edge. I haven't received a post card on the previous two cruises about booking a comped cruise onbaord (I didn't gamble much the first few days). Is this offer made based on your gambling at the beginning of the cruise, or is it based on your tier level before you boarded plus onboard play? I am Onyx level at present. Anybody know?

Yes. This has happened to me twice now - last time in January. Go. You will have a great time and meet lots of people you otherwise wouldn't have. The good thing about Azamara is you see the same people over and over again being such a small ship, and I have never been lonely. Quite the opposite actually. As far as the booking went, I just informed them at boarding that my travel partner wasn't going to make it. No issues. I jsut had more onboard credit to spend on myself than I had planned.
