  1. Would anyone else like to join the hunt?
  2. Like others, having paid for my cruise, I expect P and O to provide me with good meals. I rather object to paying extra. The idea that you may no longer order a pot of fresh coffee with room service in the mornings is appalling. I don’t drink instant coffee at home and certainly object to paying thousands of pounds to drink it on a cruise.
  3. I bet there is no queue for those!
  4. The fact that C deck is PARTIALLY overlooked doesn’t seem to matter. If you don’t want people to see you just stay close to your balcony door. In turn you will overlook the balconies below. People don’t constantly LOOK at others, respecting each other’s privacy, but I found it quite nice first thing in the morning when people said ‘Good morning’
  5. I am very amused by the green beans. Pre pandemic, our table of eight threatened to storm the ‘Where they keep the food’ area, find all the green beans and throw them overboard. I see we were not successful. Wretched things!

  7. I am on Ventura for 35 nights. I am beginning to wish I knew the current situation before I had paid my final balance.
  8. Having read a lot of comments from various people, it seems to me that P and O are doing what their contract states and including food in the cruise fare. However they do seem to be pushing you to their speciality restaurants which of course makes more money for them.

  11. Each to their own taste, but it seems very wasteful to put cheese on somebody’s plate unless you are sure it is what they are going to eat. HEY HO!
  12. Well,as long it is not all British cheese, I will be OK. I Prefer French cheese.
  13. I remember the days when P and O used Sommeliers. Long gone I’m afraid.
  14. How do you get information about the wine you choose? And how do you order your wine?

  18. Thank you for your replies, I have read so many negative comments that I was becoming worried. The cruise I am going on is Ventura for 35 nights at the beginning of March.
  19. I used to be a frequent cruiser on P and O on Ventura and Azura but have not been since Covid started. I have a long cruise coming up at the beginning of March and am wondering what changes I might expect. I understand there are staff shortages and long waits. Could anybody give me some fair observations please.
  20. You could also choose different sorts of tea bags from the buffet and take them to your cabin. I will also need to take coffee bags as I hate instant coffee and need my ‘fix’ before leaving the cabin in the mornings. Room service will no longer bring pots of fresh coffee.
  21. I may buy some on the ship, for use in my cabin. Not from the duty free as I need it for cabin consumption.
  22. Does anyone know if there is a Duty free shop at this port.
  23. Embarking in Southampton, they probably scan the luggage for hazardous items which a 3ltr. Box of wine is not.
  24. To Megabear2. I meant at Embarkation and in your hold luggage. A long cruise.
