Can you opt out of having a Stateroom Attendant
Bo1953 replied to Cruiseoholic000's topic in Celebrity Cruises
More than likely not... they have other duties to preform in cabins beyond towels. bon voyage -
Not to worry, if you are NOT booked into Aqua or a suite and not Elite or Elite+, your experience will be like most others aboard, easy, attentive and relaxing. You will only "...feel like a second class passenger?" if you choose to do so. Enjoy your sailing accordingly and bon voyage

lh thank you - yet I must decide what works best for my spouse... LOL I take your pointers, which are good ones. I think I can get away with PE, but wanted to get some good input as we have not traveled in them, ever. bon voyage

6r - do you think a passenger can feel 'reasonably' comfortable in PE vs Polaris traveling 8 - 9 hours non-stop? bon voyage

Net, Net, Net - the take away, for me at least, check seating info before booking to be sure if it is 'acceptable' on long haul flights... If not, find an airline which is...??? bon voyage

Something more you can do is, to periodically contact your point of reservation to ask if anything has become available for SD or first seating if that is preferable to late seating. Sometimes lines can be long for SD if no reservation has been made in advance, which means you will need to consider arriving at least 15 minutes before you wish to dine if that comes through. bon appetit and bon voyage

What does your 'Paid In Full' invoice show??? Cheers and bon voyage

We are cruising on Celebrity. Thank you, usually here in the U.S. if the flight is under 2.5 hours (published) we go coach, if greater or we sense that it will be greater, then it is 1st class or some section that offers more room and space than coach. Thank you and bon voyage

Some of us are armchair attorneys in varied industries and countries.... without understanding the real legal aspects of what we want corrected according to our desires... LOL Then again, a few of us choose to avail ourselves of 'air service' in the current environment, knowing that there may be issues to overcome YET may say 'it will not happen to me'... LOL bon voyage

I laud you for that... Which means that if someone needed to be more 'comfortable' on the same flight in front of you, they need to forego that because it would be considered 'rude' to do so? Or is it your posit that if there is such a requirement, for medical or physical requirements, they need not be flying or best case scenario, seated in front of you, regardless? Then how to know if it is for medical reasons vs just because, unless one asks? I have been in similar positions often when flying coach and have set my personal parameters for flying coach just because of this type of situation and others. I do not want to have to worry about the person in front of me for hours upon hours and wishing they would change their behaviour for my greater comfort. Would be nice, though. bon voyage

Yes, as many 'passengers' do not know what a CoC is and those who have heard of it, have never read it, in full. Some of us have a 'vague' idea of what we are entitled to upon IDB or other such travel interruptions, yet what the exact terms are, different story for sure. So we make up our own set of rights and privileges based on what we 'believe' we paid for instead of knowing in advance what was paid for... bon voyage

Even if one paid for the recline or needs to recline for health reasons unbeknownst to the person behind? Is that not part of the fare paid experience which we need to be ready for, rather we like it or not (upgrade price or seat location or seat type or ???) yet it sounds like an airline complaint rather than a passenger complaint or challenge even if cause by same. IMO Unfortunately, when we pay for cattle steerage, we get treated as such... When I travel coach, it is always aisle seat, no matter the additional cost in order to avoid a few of the issues you dealt with, especially on a long flight. bon voyage

Hello all - we are 'planning' and booked a sailing between BCN and ROM September of 2023. While PHL is our local major airport, I find that departing out of EWR is currently more economical by a few hundred $. Looking at United for each non-stop leg of the trip, yet wanted to find out your input for Premium Econ vs Business, any input as to which is preferable, provided fares remain relatively stable over the next 15 months? Thinking mainly in terms of seat comfort and service. Am I missing a thought which needs to be considered??? Also, are there other airlines which we need to consider, as well? TIA and bon voyage

Not to be too harsh, or maybe so, yet it appears that 'many' of us who are English speakers and post here on CC, are fully capable of understanding and interpreting and comprehending the language. To me, that means when we (in a few instances) read the additional information attendant with the restrictions and policies of ANY marketing programs which X or any other company offers it 'mostly' discloses what the limits, if any, are. To debate the meaning of marketing title(s) is senseless to me and a few others, if not overwhelmingly amusing. But, after all this is CC and we can put on full display our individual ability to understand marketing, reading and the like. The place to show disdain for any marketing program for any company is directly to the company, which I Am sure a few have done and effected change, for sure. bon voyage

There is absolutely NO reason to do a charge back when there is a valid warranty in place, IMO. Personally, I have never known a warranty start upon purchase of a product by an 'authorized' reseller or retailer. The warranty is always in force to the direct end purchaser, upon registration of the product and submitting proof of purchase. As such, the initial info given to the OP is obviously incorrect. bon voyage
