I believe that you can come up with a plan that melds the two (2) desires!!! Trial and error, for sure with a recommended food approach that will fit most styles of eating for foodies and taking into consideration WW... I cannot speak for any other passengers, yet for us and our usual group of eight (8) to ten (10), not an issue at all.... Because when we board, we are relaxed, happy and looking forward to great sailing. Besides, most (95%) of our issues are handled by our TA... bon voyage

You will find out for sure.... I had a 14 day wait, but I do not sail for another 14 months so it was not an issue for me as my question or needs were not critical at the moment. Were my questions or needs critical, then I would put my TA on notice for the info. bon voyage

Food Question: We will be a group of eight (8) and will engage italytours for a private tour. The question I have is, we have one vegan and one one person who has GI problems and require a special diet... will IT be able to assist in finding a restaurant which will be able to handle these special diets??? Heck, let the couple in the suite collect the fee from their friends, just to dine together one (1) night in Luminae? Is that better for you? More than likely they have OBC which can handle it, if not, I do not envision it being a deal breaker by them paying for it. It was mentioned that neither couple wants to pay for specialty restaurants AND they are friends with both AND it sounds like they asked each couple to join them on the sailing at one time or another. So, yes, ante up for a joint dinner with the other four (4) friends to dine in Luminae. bon appetit and bon voyage

Personally, I believe you are under thinking it!!! You will want to meet up with everyone, once aboard and I will presume everyone knows where everyone else is bunking for the sailing... if not, then that is the time to explain the different categories of dining around X. At the meeting you can point out the 'current' dining arrangements and on one (1) night invite your friends to dine with you in Luminae, of course you will be paying for them as expected, and then you can on any given other nights join in one of the other dining rooms to be convivial... and sharing. In fact, have the discussion long before boarding!!! You can start the conversation by saying "It just dawned upon us, that you may not know that we are in a suite and have our own dining room BUT we are inviting you to dine with us on one evening and we will dine with you in one of the MDR's as well. So not to fear, we will be eating together... bon appetit, good luck and bon voyage

While not 100% certain, I Am certain that RCL will find flight(s) to/from the sailing for any affected passenger. Will they be ideal or desired? Possibly not. Will they get the passenger(s) to the port? Probably so based on the current scheduling. The wait and see is which flights/airlines/dates/times of the replacement(s). I recommend that the OP read their third party travel insurance policy, just in case. bon voyage
