  1. That 10 day Hawaii was an interior on Legend, and we were happy to pay just $659 for the two of us all in! It was a last minute deal too good to pass up, so we took it. San Diego to Ensenada, 6 day transit to the islands, then a 4 island itin, Hawaii, Maui, Kauai and Oahu. We ended up in Honolulu and got to visit Todd's brother stationed there for another week...then flew home. Just looked at our pics trying to find a copy of our confirmation cuz I know some of you will not believe the pricing...but it's absolutely true. Didn't keep a copy! Our upcoming Icon is also an interior, we have found that sometimes in a balcony we end up never using the balcony much anyway...too busy elsewhere. And we can see those views anytime from upper deck. So we're good with whatever fits our budget. Cabin doesn't matter to us. We'd accept almost anything just to cruise.
  2. Whatever seems right at the time. We've only done a suite 2 times, one was a shorty, can't afford a suite on 7 day. The other was the Presidential Suite on Liberty and we found a fantastic deal on it and split it 4 ways which worked. I don't anticipate anything like it again. We booked the Utopia just to see the train thing but that'll probably do us for shorties. It always depends on the deals and how cheap I can find them. But of course we prefer 7 day. We've done Hawaii from San Diego as a 10 day and have booked Ascent for a 10 day southern Antilles at a pretty decent price. To each their own. And good hunting!~
  3. We'll be doing Hideaway Hideout cabana thanks to my lovely daughter and hub. One and done for us probably. I guess you can say we've done it all that we care to do...from now on the Lagoon pool and south beach will be our go to. We consider our Icon in a couple weeks our big blow out cruise, the most we've ever spent, including our Celebrity cruises...the last hurrah! About time to start road trips/camping...........😂
  4. I hope they can do Icon class but put back the solarium somewhere for adults only and covered/air conditioned and big enough to hold enough. Hideaway is just too crowded, I don't think we'll be spending much time there. Plan to go in the early AM only anyways. Or stay in Overlook sans any water 😭
  5. I bought the blue spongy ear plugs, they work just right, you can still the music but low. Amazon
  6. Cuz Oasis class is the preferred ship right now and they have plenty...no problem dedicating one to shorties. Then there's always Icon class for backup. I like it. We have to fly but it's no problem, it's on AMEX' dime.
  7. Ours is next year in Sept. When do you think I should start checking...it's not available now.
  8. We're booked for the second day of our cruise. We all bought costumes. It will be the highlight of the whole cruise for us. I'll post our pics later...22 days and counting!
  9. I use these...perfect: TSA Approved Travel Bottles Set from Amazon
  10. Worked perfectly. Just follow directions on your agreement. We paid for most of our Empire Supper Club on Icon with this credit and another booking credit. You can call the credit card company and ask them to apply to any cruise, have your booking number at hand. We checked right after we called them with RCCL and it had been applied. Sweet! Card is now safely locked up in our safe. I forgot to mention we racked up the thousand points by paying for another cruise.
  11. 25 days to go for us, so excited I can barely contain myself...don't care what it cost at all. We will love it...enjoy!
  12. Especially the carnivores. Just tell your waiter on first night you cannot have anything prepared with animal fats or flavorings. To each his own. Personally I think there are plenty of choices for everybody. I'll take everything that you guys leave!
  13. Guess I'm sticking to our interior which is less than 10 steps from the elevator bay on 10. Literally the first cabin
  14. We are at 27 days out and do not even appear to be eligible on Icon and there are still plenty of balconies available to upgrade from Interior. Just keep getting the "Make sure your cruise is at least 30 days" etc. Weird that my daughter's linked cabin has "You are eligible for an upgrade" pane???
  15. Ours appeared around 35 days out last week.
  16. Exactly 30 days: Doin the Doc Dance! All shows booked, ready to rumble!
  17. The Keep Me Logged In has never worked for my Chrome connection and for about the last month I've been getting a blank page that says something about the server not being able to identify it or something. I clear cache as well and my machine is very well maintained, my Hubs owns his own computer consulting company. He just tells me to log onto Edge which works ok.
  18. What the heck is the matter with you? I didn't manipulate anything. I direct quoted a sentence from post #19....period.
  19. I second the Colony CLub, nobody ever in there. WE had a mounty give a lecture once and we played a game of pool but mostly vacant!
  20. We have done the same and after a few inquiries with headquarters all was well...give it time...and stay on them. You may not see it on your end, but they do. We've applied points for onboard credit too....no worries. Several minutes later.....Oops I see it was resolved already!
  21. I always carry Tums sugar free. It takes a couple days for the OTCs to start working so you have to begin a few days early with Nexium and Prilosec. If I do get it it's always when I go to sleep, but Tums does the trick for me. Ordinarily I don't have any heartburn because we eat mostly meats. But we allow ourselves anything on board as a treat. Carbs are the culprit, we have found. Since eliminating carbs we never have it anymore. And we eat plenty of fat too. Not arguing just telling you what we experience.
