  1. I suggest you make dinner reservations. Without them you will definitely have a wait or not be able to get in at all. These are the peak dining times. We prefer the specialty dining on Breakaway and always eat around 8:00 so we never had a problem although I always had reservations. You will find the buffet ok but no where as good as HAL and Celebrity. Equal or second to RCCL. We had breakfast in O'Sheean's most days. The one time we went to the dining room it was a disaster.

  2. If that's a serious question, then I will respond.

Nice sandals go wonderfully with nice shorts. Any nice shoes go well with nice jeans. You can dress up a pair of jeans by simply wearing nice shoes and a nice blouse, shirt or sweater.

Jeans and shorts don't necessarily mean you will (or should) be wearing sneakers.

FYI - the dress code for the main dining room and Le Bistro at dinner is different than the other restaurants.

It was our experience that MOST people observed the dress code for Le Bistro and for the main dining room. In fact, at Le Bistro during our dinner, there was no one in there that looked anything less than business casual, which was very nice and very much appreciated.

We were on the same cruise. Only in the Manhattan room (only night we did not do specialty dining) did we see a guy in shorts and T shirt. Maybe that's why they sat him all the way in the back where no one could see him. LOL. Funny thing was his date/ wife was dressed really nice.

  3. We cruise out of NY / NJ the third week in March almost every year. This year was Breakaway (same two years ago) March 19th. The weather usually isn't bad, this year being one of the cooler ones. We have had 6 inches of snow on deck for embarkation to 65 and beautiful. All but one by the time we hit Florida have been beach weather. Most are very nice until the last sea day except this year we did hit a storm after leaving Nassau. Never have I not been able to swim, use the slides, hot tubes and get my first sunburn of the season. ;)

  4. I have heard that it's not worth it in colder months but May should be nice but not an absolute must. But if I can get it and use my obc would give it a try.

We were on the March 19th sailing and I wanted to really get these. Hubby talked me out of it. So glad he did as there were only 3 days we would have used it because of weather, 2 of them were port days that most people were off the ship. Didn't need it on those days.

  5. At least you gave it a try. There are some folks on here that only stay with one cruiseline, never experiencing what others may have to offer.

No big deal if you didn't like it, that happens sometimes.

    Enjoy your next cruise.:)

I agree with you. We were also on this cruise with the OP, second time on BA. It wasn't a great cruise but the reason I will not be on BA any time again soon is there are just so many more ships to experience.
