You can also purchase the listed spirits once you are onboard through room service. Thanks, all, for the replies. Interestingly, I departed Sydney on March 31, 2023 for a 29 day cruise. I was successfully able to pre purchase spirits for that cruise.

Hello. We are sailing on the Royal Princess in April, 2024. It is a 21 day cruise embarking in Sydney, Australia and ending in Yokohama, Japan. We normally like to pre purchase a couple of the 375 ml bottles of spirits to have in the room. When I attempt to buy, the following appears: Princess Wine & Spirits Sorry, we encountered an error while retrieving your Princess Wine & Spirits shopping list. Trying again later may resolve the issue, but please note that in some circumstances the item(s) you selected may no longer be available for purchase on this cruise. Is this normal for cruises with this itinerary? I've been "trying again later" for several months. There are not any wines or spirits available for purchase. Has anyone else experienced this? Any insight is greatly appreciated. I am in the U.S., not Australia. The cruise account folio is in AUD. Does that make any difference? Does Australia have rules or regulations that do not allow for such purchases? Thanks.

Are there different laws and regulations for Australia?

We love the window suites. Have travelled in them on both Caribbean and Grand Princess. Convenient to everything. All suite perks. The floorplan below is the same for both ships. We were in F309 on the Caribbean Princess in December, 2022. Much larger than a mini suite, although no balcony.

On the above recommendation: beware that in the product specifications this adapter has surge protection. Princess does not allow adapters that have surge protection. I found out the hard way. Mine was confiscated at the beginning of the cruise.

A question for any cruiser who has recently sailed on Grand Princess. Do the staterooms have the nightlights that are self activated? If so, where are they located? Thank you.

Yes. Rough seas and high winds were too much. The air show with British flyovers scheduled for today was also cancelled. We are now underway to Cobh (Cork), Ireland.

A little off topic, but will try. Ombud: my CVP also retired (end of June). Were you automatically assigned a new CVP? I was under the assumption that a new one would be assigned; haven't heard a word. Emails from Princess advertising future cruises, etc. are not signed by a CVP as was the case previously. Guidance is appreciated. Thanks.

Tom, You're most welcome. I had never had OBC credited to a card account prior to this instance; always a check. I sure hope things work out in your favor.

We disembarked April 9, 2022. After nine weeks of waiting for the OBC check, I did the following: Go To Princess Home Page. Click "Contact Us" at bottom of page (a black box) Go to Support Request From drop down, select "Post Cruise Questions / Comments" Select "Onboard Folio Statement" under Select a Topic I completed the necessary information and calmly explained the situation and inquired when to expect the check. In two days, the amount was posted to my credit card. You might give it a try. I was pleasantly surprised.
