  1. I linked our three reservations on the www site months prior to sailing. Then every time I went to book anything using the app on board it showed the other three family members and asked if I wanted to include them in the reservation. I used it twice for specialty restaurant reservations and the KSC post-cruise shore excursion. If doing the MDR I would go there immediately upon boarding and make sure they have it correct. Weeks prior to boarding I tried to make Thanksgiving dinner RSVP's at 150 CP for all five of us on three bookings and for some reason it won't let me make it for our adult grandson. I could link and reserve for our son and his girlfriend, but not the grandson. I had to just access his reservation and make a single one for him at the same time as us.
  2. I looked for posts on Wonder streaming before I started a new topic and couldn't find anything other than the one from March.
  3. It's not available in JS as the option like shown doesn't come up on the TV. Our son is a techie and there wasn't an option on his JS TV like we had in the OS. Our grandson was in an OV and he didn't have the option either. It was also limited to using Chromecast.
  4. I'm sure somebody made a phone call to the Embassy either the cruise agent or a family member. I'm not sure it has to be done immediately and I'm sure the Department of State has a way to back date it, either way the birth record for the US citizen baby will come from the DoS and he might even be able to claim dual with Jamaica (not sure why) but could. There's no other US agency who could issue a document showing the baby is a US citizen born abroad.
  5. I have no idea what that is. I read it and it still doesn't make sense and I'm not sure it would be applicable in this case as I see no mention of birth at sea only "foundlings" in other countries. But, lets assume it's not 1961 and they want their child to be a US citizen they still have to get a US birth certificate or a certificate from the US Department of State if they are going to claim the baby as a US citizen. Logistically, no county in the US is going to issue a birth certificate so they will have to go to US State Department and request a FS-240. The request will be made at the US embassy in Jamaica. https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/international-travel/while-abroad/birth-abroad.html
  6. Not sure that's accurate, but could even be dual citizenship. Usually a birth outside the US to US citizens gets a certificate from US Department of State showing the baby is a US citizen born outside the US. Happens all the time for military parents station overseas. We had friends who worked for a time in UAE where their daughter was born. She kept dual citizenship as the UAI was paying their citizens about $5000 a year just for being a citizen. I recall at age 13 or 14 she had to give up the dual citizenship and became just a US citizen, sadly she lost the stipend from UAI. But it was a nice college fund.
  7. Assuming the parents are US citizens they apply to the US Department of State for a certificate "US Citizen born of US parents while overseas." It happens all the time with people in the military.
  8. Yes you can. However, it's only in suites. We had an OS and could do it. Our son was in a JS and the option wasn't on his television. However, not sure how well it works. I was lucky to get more than 4-5 mgbs.
  9. July on Navigator we went to Windjammer upon boarding. They came around offering 1/2 price for that night at Jamie's so we took it. Even though the service wasn't great the food was the best we had onboard the entire cruise. We were just on Wonder in an OS and in the past when in the suite lounge upon embarkation we would get offers to book Chef's table for a discount. This time on Wonder no such offers were forthcoming. Plus the concierges never came out from behind their desk except at the end of the cruise to look for tips, they didn't get any. In the past on Allure and Oasis the concierges would work the tables every night in the suite lounge making sure all was well. More than once one would sit down and have a cocktail with us. Now they seem to busy to be friendly unless you go to them. They should take their desk away or at least move it out of the far corner.
  10. We did have a great time even the "free" extra day. There was really no soot issue on suite sun deck during our cruise. We had that lounger every day there was little if any soot the entire week.
  11. No you don't, but if you still have cellular turned on you might get charged for international or ship cel connections. It's just easier to go to Airplane mode and then turn on just WiFi.
  12. Only the Grand suites that were converted from the Presidential Suites (I think they were called) have the hot tubs. We were in an OS directly about one when they were still Presidential Suites.
  13. I used my Set Sail pass from my phone until I got our door key. We boarded at 10:30 AM and didn't get a key until around 3:00 PM. I was already even on the DX package for that day before I even got my card.
  14. Yes, when you log in the other device the app will ask if you want to kick the other one off. Otherwise, you can "logout.com" on the connected device and "login.com" on the second device. Either way is very easy. We had the free WiFi for two devices. When I first logged in the app asked if I wanted to sign us both in and create an account name and PIN. DW wanted to do her own, so I just logged in mine. I'm not sure but this created an issue when she went to log in and create her account. This entailed a trip to Voom desk to get straightened out.
  15. We were in 1832 last week and never had a soot issue on our balcony and only a little on the suite sun deck the last couple of days when running all engines full speed for the medical emergency. What we didn't like about the suite sun deck is how it overlooks the sports deck. This generates a lot of noise, where the suite sun decks on Oasis and Allure face toward the sea and are quite.
  16. Is that the Wonder? It doesn't look like anything I saw on the Wonder. We were on the suite sun deck every morning from 0800 to about 1600 all last week and that doesn't look like the Wonder.
  17. Sorry I disagree, soot was only an issue once we had the medical emergency and were running all five engines at full speed to get to San Juan and then back on course. We spent everyday for many hours on the suite sun deck and soot wasn't an issue until then. That being said, we didn't like the location compared to other Oasis class ships we have been on. The Wonder suite sun deck overlooks the sports deck which generates a lot of noise and competing music. For this reason I wouldn't book another Wonder and would go back to the older Oasis class ships that are much more calm and quite on the suite sun deck. The hot tub and water feature don't make up the difference. Plus, both hot tub/pool were hot and weren't a place to cool off if it got hot, which it did.
  18. We just returned from Wonder in OS 1832. Soot wasn't that bad and really didn't become an issue until the direction and wind changed. I think most of the soot issue was because of the medical emergency we had and running full speed all engines to San Juan and then back to get on course. SL/CK were busy during the "free" cocktail hour and then cleared out. We usually went down after 7 pm had a cocktail and then ate around 8 pm after it cleared out. There is only one access to CK/CL at deck 17 portside. Suite sun deck has access on both sides on deck 18.
  19. Just returned from Wonder in an OS. The layout for suite cabins is awesome compared to other Oasis class ships. We have been in OS on Allure and Oasis and they are a walk to the Suite Sun Deck, Costal Kitchen and Suite Lounge. We were in 1832 and were steps to the suite sun deck. Yes, depending on the wind and speed of the ship we did get some soot, but it wasn't an everyday thing. My main complaint about the new layout is the entire sun deck is at the rear of deck 18 and is directly over the sport deck. It's loud and the music from sun deck isn't in snyc with sports deck, you never know what you listen to. This would be enough for us not to do the Wonder again and go back to the older configuration. The elevators suck, you can wait a long time for one to come to 17 or 18. We walked down several times. Also going up the screens didn't show floors 17 or 18 on some elevators. My observation is there are so many venues at the stern the elevators can't handle it.
  20. Our fridge did also. I have nice cold beer, champagne and water the entire cruise.
