this is frustrating. I posted that 2X so went in a modified one and lost both. Not used to cc on droid I guess
Does BA let me bc of my status? Is it different if flight originates in US. Don't know. Do know that although I prefer BA to United, United is easier to reserve seats with. I've actually now reserved my seats for the next 3 cruises although I've only paid for 1

We booked our flights as a package with Princess, Plane Sailing I think they call it for us in the UK. I can request seats through the cruise personalizer (for the long haul element, not the local connecting flight) but they are not guaranteed - does anyone in the UK have experience of using this and did you get the seats requested?
Can you confirm on their website? Mine say "not guaranteed" but I can confirm on airline site (in USA)

I have no problem getting the aisle seat on exit row as desired. BA / AA/ One World let's me do it on their websites using my frequent flyer # -- United / Delta others let me do it within EZAir. But if not a one world member then it must be paid 1st

I loved my Royal balcony so much we never missed 'public' viewing places
Loved hiking Mt Roberts. Short walk to tram station

Options:
1) wait list --- they'll add another bus if enough interest
2) roll call to join a private tour
3) hire a driver thru trip advisor / viator
4) OTOH: They will add tours to book online, maybe one of those will suffice if you don't get off the wait list
I'm on a July cruise & they won't let me even VIEW optional tours until 120 days out. Is this new?

I'm on it from Santiago to LA 3/14/2019 .... 3rd leg of a FL to BA to Santiago to LA

What would stop me from taking 2 bottles on board, and having my wife check in 10 min later, and her taking 2 bottles. Do you think we would each be charged $15 for the extra bottle??
Yes

QuoteUpdate: Diario.aw reports that a “muscular” man was struggling/fighting with the woman, and suddenly began choking her. After that, he reportedly pushed her over the railing. She fell on lifeboat #2, destroying the windows on the lifeboat as well. The authorities in Aruba will perform an autopsy, to determine whether the man killed her first (by choking her) or she died because of the fall.
Murder is murder whether by causing a fall or initial assault. Hope he's off the ship

Interesting as I’ve never done one that late in the day. I would suggest one from 10am - 11:30 am. Use the 1st half hour so people can mingle with other people. Ask for a microphone so it’s easier for people to hear everyone. I invite the ship officers to come at 10:30 am & provide time for them to introduce themselves & what they do plus time for questions from the people there. I invite the ships photographer to come at 11:00 to do a group photo.
I keep a list list with peoples names, stateroom number, Incase I need to reach them, email address & their CC name for my name tags. This list is private & only for my use.
I make a flyer to send to people with the meeting details plus one month before the cruise I send a “REMINDER” flyer.
I’ve done many of these so please ask any additional questions or contact me at trbarton743 at aol dot com.
Tom😎
Okay, makes sense, oh well 😞
do you do the reminder flyer online? I've got 37 signed up and it's in 123 days. We're the 2nd half of BA to LA and have a group tour the day b4 with 23 signed up so many of us will know the others
NEED: officer, photographer, microphone, Monte Carlo wheel

Ombuds please take note.
Posted on this site Sept 27, 2018 if you look back.
We are now creating a real problem where some will go to one meeting and some will go to another because people dp not read previous info.
Sept 27
Attention one and all
I have just spoken with the Island Princess Rep Rosanne Pennuci and booked the Meet and Greet, M & G, or oh heck I just want to meet some folks on our cruise. OFFICIALLY: The Wheelhouse Lounge

Thanks. It was a group decision to do 4pm, Princess moved it to 3pm which is smart but like your format

my avatar is a frog. But at the bottom of the mobile site I've got a bunch of garbage photos. So I guess I'm saying it wrong. On other sites, I can block content in my profile here I need to get yet another app using up my battery to limit what I'm forced to see or block
-
I'm not a moderator, but I think it would be great if we could turn off pictures in our profile. There might be some who want to see the pictures - - I'm just not that person

Thank you! I came here to see if there was some way to block the photos. As other people said (I'm just reiterating for the cause) I don't want to see other people's photos, and I think it was slowing down my computer. I think I set up Ad Blocker correctly. I couldn't figure out how to choose the element, but then I realized I just had to hover over it. It turned yellow. I clicked, and they disappeared.
Does this turn off ALL pictures?

6Yeah .... don't care .... can't block ... feature sucks
-
I'm doing this on a Droid and the pictures that I cannot block slow down loading time. This really sucks. I'm not interested in some random person posing in a waterfall .... her spouse might be but not me
Please put the site down again and undo this 'feature'

I haven't run out of areas of the world to go to although I admit I'm sort of repeating a 2004 cruise (was Montreal to NYC in October, now FL to Quebec in July). So I guess I'm repeating areas from 14 yrs ago? Just not Caribbean and if Europe I tend to just rent a place for a few weeks

That's what I was concerned about. There more of the Wagner, Bach, Rachmaninoff thread being classical performers

We've had to book Holland America (and Seabourn) the past 3 to 4 years to see other ports.
Does HAL have as many classical musicians as Princess? My grandsons (teenagers) are SO bored on Carnival bc there aren't any of 'their kind' of musicians (horn, sax, string).
Except the Colonial America /Canada cruise, I'm not repeating any ports on my next 4:
1. Indonesia
2. Santiago to LA
3. FL to Quebec
4. Melbourne to Auckland
(I was Montreal to NYC in 2004, but Charleston is new to me)

I bought it on the Diamond in March and used it later on Royal (June-July). Still have 1 card with 14 punches & 1 with 5. Will use on Sapphire this month

For me, the annoying thing is that there are no true fourteen night cruises, i.e. that aren’t just two seven day cruises.
I am on a 16 day from Santiago to LA. Ship originates in FL to Buenos Aires then BA to Santiago then I get on to LA.
If you're talking about different shows and menus, then yes it will repeat on a weekly basis. But it does the same thing on land too

Not sure that there is a suitable port in the Med for Morocco (but they already go to Casablanca on the Atlantic. I think they used to go to Cairo on some sailings but unrest caused them to drop it too many times. Slim pickings along the rest of the north Africa coast. It would be nice to do the circle, but....
Thank you! Saved it .... haven't done a transatlantic yet

Why don't you suggest some new ports here?
Northern Africa!! Maybe a Circle the Mediterranean. ... Barcelona - Monte Carlo - Italy - Hifah - Cairo - Morocco - Barcelona
That's 10-14 nights 😆
Or Cuba

My understanding is that if it does not have an expiration date ofor 12/31/2018 it expires 8/2019

I made a mistake ... okay, I get it. My cruise starts next week during HANUKKAH! Does Princess have the traditional foods, can I bring an electric menorah, will it just be Christmas? Air quality here is 288 so I'm going to get clean air but will I miss holidays?
