I have noticed on the Viking River roll call forum there are over 40 pinned topics (pin symbol), many of them regarding 2022 cruises with no new comments in months. These populate the first page and a half of topics. How do these topics get the pin symbol and how long will they remain at the top of the topics list? It makes it difficult for newcomers to find the current cruise posts. Is there a way to change my sort to eliminate or suppress 2022 specific topics?

The Great Lakes cruises are the exception. There is a variety of excursions in most ports, kayak, zodiac, and SOB rides in Canadian locations, and various times available for included excursions, so the earlier you book the more likely you are to get what you want.

When I compare the Nordic Penthouse description to Deluxe Nordic Balcony, the NP gets to reserve 10 days before DN which is the next lower category. However if you book less than 57 days out, you would lose that advantage.

I feel that way too, but I hear so much positive about the World Cafe on these ships that I will have to see. Having only been on Viking river cruises, this will be a whole new experience.

Thank you for this. I was disappointed that the PBS show did not show the ship. This is the first Uniworld ship I've seen with decor I could live with, absolutely beautiful in my opinion. I hope I can forget this when I'm on my Viking Bordeaux cruise next month! LOL

Just be aware that SeatGuru isn't always right. I traveled last November and for at least 2 of my flights the SeatGuru maps did not match the actual planes. I checked all possible layouts, but none of them included premium economy sections which were added a couple of months before one flight. The other flight was shorter, not a new plane, and not PE, but not accurate. The airlines' maps, when I could see them, were correct.

I have air plus, but I have been nervous about using MVJ to explore upgrades from premium economy to business class. Is it easy to explore without jeopardizing my current flights? I'd hate to have to start over and lose what I already have. Do you see pricing and available seats on MVJ?
