most likely 35%. It's the trick they've been playing. They say 70% off the 2nd passenger because it looks better, but it really is 35% off for each guest. Same goes for the flights. They advertise it's a free flight for the 2nd guest, but if you're solo they just charge you half for your flight
got it, thanks 🙂

They have been serving a salmon spread (cream cheese with a hint of something fishy).
I actually really liked this. Philadelphia Cream Cheese makes a salmon spread and it reminds me of that

Thank you for the chuckle for food quality wished for on NCL.

The Company Will Offer Travelers 70% Off the Second Guest Fare
Does anyone know how they adjust it for solo travelers?

To not pay extra for the "free' packages you must book NCL's Sailaway rate which often sells out quickly is only for inferior cabins. Back in the "old days" the Sailaway rate included cabin selection and we were able to snag some good deals in decent cabins.
Yeah that's not true. I sailed on the Epic in October and we opted out of the drink package but used the other perks. Also we upgraded our cabin on a bid and felt we received a good value.

NCL pricing is so out of kilter.
In what way? I've never cruised anywhere but NCL or Carnival so I would love some insight

Of course MSC's free perks are built into the cruise fare (the way it should be) and yet MSC is consistently less expensive than the other cruise lines.
You get what you pay for....

Not being able to take a cruise on one specific cruise line = lock them in the basement for 2 years. Gotcha. Too bad there's literally zero other vacation options available.
I guess they can't afford Disney??

So to me looks like the ship is an ideal place for unvaccinated kids to be.
Yeah for YOUR KIDS. Not for other people. Do you not understand how incredibly selfish that is?!

This makes absolutely NO sense whatsoever and I'm wondering if this is a fake review. Why would they isolate her because of some mystery close contact but not her husband?

We did the BOGO flights for our cruise a couple of weeks ago and it worked out very well. We were able to pick our seats through the Delta website No regrets

yes and results are emailed to you with a paper copy to your stateroom that evening.

Hello, THIS ^^^
we just got off the Gem a couple weeks ago, my boyfriend's third time on NCL. He apparently still didn't know how the shower knobs worked. He came out of the bathroom on the third day swearing. "I have a ****ing master's degree and I still can't figure out the ****ing shower" So, we had a little shower tutorial 🙂
I don't know why NCL doesn't put a little sign up in the bathroom explaining this, they have a little sign for every other thing
I'm booked for the Escape next month and hope their controls are different. It was one of the most annoying parts of our cruise

$3.60 (including gratuity) for cans of soda to take back to my cabin on the Getaway last week. You can also use the new delivery service to have it delivered to your stateroom
I didn't find prices to be much better on land. I paid 3 Euros for a can of sprite in Pisa.

Also beware that FREE excursions is really $50 credit per port for excursions. He thought that that was really FALSE advertising.
Not necessarily. My excursion to Pompeii was $39 so it was indeed free.

I'd like to know why you booked this cruise not knowing if or when a vaccine for children under 12 would be approved.

You can upgrade after you board.
I looked back at what I wrote and realized it was poorly worded. There's a substantial discount if you upgrade before you board. I guess I'm just asking at what point do you lose that discount

I was on the same cruise and hell no I would never sail on the Epic again. that bathroom layout is atrocious. There was a coffee pot and the nearest plug was under the counter and the cord wasn't long enough to reach to plug it in so I had to hold the coffee pot while it made coffee.

As long as you book while the offers you want are available you will get them, you are not required to make final payment before the perk drops off. If you re-price the room for a lower fare it's another story...

I have a bid in on my December cruise for a spa balcony. If it's not accepted, I'm going to spend the money on a wifi package. I understand bids can be accepted up to the day before your trip. Does anyone know if you can also upgrade perks the day before you leave or is the cut off sooner than that?

If you are looking at anything other than economy, I'd say book your own air instead of booking with the cruise line.
eh not necessarily. For our cruise last week Delta gave us the option for upgrades and seat changes. They also didn't charge us for checked bags. I can't speak for other airlines but Delta is outstanding in this regard.

- The price goes down on the last moment so it doesn’t make sense to book in advance and/or wait for double up promo.
While that may be true, if you wait too long you could lose certain perks. Before I made final payment on my December cruise, I noted the second person flies free perk had been dropped. I immediately paid because that's one of the best parts of the cruise. It's for the week of Christmas and they only charged us $100 (199 but bogo) each. I don't know if I can even get a flight for Christmas week at this point or how astronomical the tickets would be.
