  1. We're arriving on the Thursday ( from Australia ) and taking "Blackberry cars" to transfer us directly to Maison Dieu guest House in Dover cost being 194BP....we're on the July 13th Sailing.
  2. What time was the ship cleared in HongKong for disembarkation and were you able to disembark ?….we are looking at wanting to disembark at 8.00am to catch an 11.30am flight to Singapore….is that feasible?
  3. I'd imagine that the conflict in the middle east would be well and truly over by early 2024 at the latest and even then it would be over 12 months until the scheduled sailing so puzzled why the decision to cut so early....whilst I fully understand the dangers it still seems premature ....but I'm not too put out by the change as Cyprus is a nice alternative.....And yes should we wish to go to Israel we can just fly there when it suits and not rely on the cruise.
  4. Whilst I completely understand cancelling Israel,Jordan and Egypt for the immediate future I cannot understand why our cruise in May 2025 from Haifa has been rescheduled as of today.....leaving from Athens and stopping in Cyprus instead of leaving Haifa with a stop in Ashdod....Can anyone enlighten as to why ????
  5. thanks for all the updates and it seems the constant theme is repetition and variable quality in the MDR...We quite like the buffet so fingers crossed we can all get some variation at the Oceanview Cafe....the grandkids should be ok with the Mast Grill although some reviews suggest otherwise...Pity that the food standards have dropped to where mediocre is now acceptable....And as we're paying for 11 guests not an option to go specialty dining I'm afraid
  6. I understand the buffet concept and I guess what I was trying to ascertain was the variety and quality of the buffet….and I realise that there maybe more changes over the coming 12 months that may indeed reverse the current spiral to the bottom….fingers crossed for a positive improvement
  7. Thanks for the reply….found some menus via the app and choices are somewhat limited but we could all get by I think….next thing is whether the choices as described are up to standard but that’s something that we can handle once onboard…many thanks again
  8. We are not sailing until December 2024 and with the current views on the “free dining options “ being invariably poor trying to decide if we should cancel….problem is we are a party of 6 adults and 5 children and so it’s an expensive cruise notwithstanding the headline booking price
  9. Hoping someone can help with the current menus for both the MDR and OVC...thanks in advance
  10. Hi i I understand that at dinner on board Solstice only 20% of the buffet stations are open….can anyone confirm what the dinner options are like in the Oceanview Cafe ? …Thanks in advance
  11. We are due to arrive in Dover at 7.00am and was wondering how accurate is that time as Seaborn say arrival is subject to tides and so what time would we be able to disembark as we are planning a mid afternoon flight from from Heathrow to New York....thanks in advance
  12. We were on the first cruise to Monte Carlo and have continued on to Barcelona where we disembark on Friday….I endorse everything cruiseej has mentioned and can say the wine improved dramatically after we secured Tryells Margret River Cabernet Sauvignon after 3 days and for the rest of the cruise enjoyed D’Arenberg The Stump Jump….as a former wine retailer I could easily put together a wine list with a price point of under $20AUD that would be 100% better than anything Seabourn has as complimentary….But the real highlight of Seabourn on this cruise has been the staff who are absolutely brilliant from the suite attendants to the servers to the senior staff….all have a wonderful sense of humour that spills over onto the whole ship….needless to say we’re booked on Sojourn next July and booked a future trip whilst onboard for 2025…..sad to be leaving after 20 wonderful days.
  13. We’re on Sojourn currently and have been using the included wifi with 4 devices connected at the same time and fortunately we’ve had wonderful connectivity over the last 15 days
  14. Ok to be fair the Sommelier found us some Tyrells Margret River Beside Broke Road Cabernet Sauvignon that was indeed very pleasant so we are now happy campers or should I say happy drinkers🤗
  15. The complimentary wines on Sojourn are so so bad it’s not acceptable…..chatted to the Captain about this and he said write a letter which I’ve done but do not expect any reply or resolution….price point of the wines is circa $10 for a 6 star cruise line is just beyond a joke when everything else onboard is just perfect
  16. Just boarded Sojourn and the only included wines are South African and they are not very good so I’m extremely disappointed as you can buy quality and I mean quality Australian reds and whites for under $20.00 so perplexed with what Seabourn must be thinking or not
  17. Just boarded Sojourn and both my wife and I have no issues whatsoever with the drinking water
  18. We’re boarding after 1.00pm and hope to enjoy lunch at the Colonnade soon after 🙏
  19. Yep looks great and we’ll be onboard in a few hours 🙏🙏
