  1. Elite on Celebrity will be diamond on Royal. 4 vouchers per passenger that has the status. Cabin mates do not share status. However, you should be able to link your wife to your account, and she will now have the same status as you.
  2. Silly AI. Making the assumption I know where I want to go and can remember how to get there 🤪.
  3. How far out is your cruise? My March 10th is not showing there yet, but it was approved only 8-9 days ago.
  4. Bought 200 shares at 7.91 after the crash in 2020. Sold 100 of them a month or so later at 14.69. So I have my 100 shares for $128 and short term capital gains on $672. Like you, it doesn't matter what the stock does, it is basically a free OBC generator.
  5. Mine took a week to pass review, sent in January 15.
  6. Are you basing that off of published itinerary? She was not scheduled for Key West according to Caribe Nautical. Caribe Nautical is the ships' agent for the port of Key West. If a ship is not on their schedule, they are not going to Key West. I've had a cruise scheduled for Key West that I knew from that schedule was not going at least three months out, even though the change was not announced to passengers until a week out. The 2 city controlled berths have basically stopped accepting ships (might be taking an extremely low passenger count ship occasionally), so the only berth available is the privately controlled pier B.
  7. That is why I won't worry about it til June. And if the redeem button suddenly becomes active on the effective date of the board approval of stockholder OBC, it might answer the question of whether CCL is data dumping every booking to Stockperks vs looking up your account via booking number using the redeem button. I used a "clean" email for stockperks, so if that email starts getting bombarded with spam I will know where it came from.
  8. Mine took a week. I had sent my info the old way on the 14th to HAL for an upcoming march cruise, before I had seen the stockperks postings here. That came through on the 17th, with the admonishing email to use stockperks. I sent the same info to stock perks on the 15th, accepted on the 22nd. Before acceptance, clicking redeem would generate the "we are verifying your brokerage statement" message. After acceptance it shows I own 100 shares in small print. However the redeem button is now non-functional (I booked another cruise a couple days after requesting the credit for the first one). Since the newest booking is for an August cruise, I will worrying about it in June. But will be paying attention to the stockperks post on all the CCL forums.
  9. Think it through. They (stockperks) has no clue what your current address is, and will not check that against anything HAL may have. They specifically Do Not want that information, nor does HAL when you send it to them. They do not want the liability of having the physical address tied to someone's portfolio that may be quite large. The instructions you posted explicitly state account number and address should be blacked out ("and" statements read the same when reversed). If they wanted an address if would have been in the section asking for name, sailing date, booking number, not in the section asking for it to be blacked out. Chances are your rejections were BECAUSE it had an address attached, and policy prohibits that from being that stored on their end. They are not worried that you somehow know someone with your exact same name and are using their statement fraudulently. The whole perk is really based on the honour system, as it is not exactly difficult to spoof a brokerage statement, especially as they are asking for altered documents as it is. The modifier current implies that if it is an old address is does not need to be blacked out.
  10. Well it is a cruise line industry group. And the spend per hour does help compare two very different categories of travelers. Anyway, here is a link to the CLIA article. https://cruising.org/-/media/clia---visitor-spending-analysis---key-west
  11. Yeah, according to those instructions if your current mailing address is on your statement, they want it blacked out so they can't see it. I just have an online account with maybe a half dozen stocks. There is one page I can pull up that just has my name, brokerage name and info, and all my stock info for the closing date of that month's statement. So I just save that as a pdf, black out all the other stocks, then print and scan (save as .jpg) so I don't accidentally send a file that can be edited or has the blackout removeable.
  12. The statements I have used do not have my address on them. Just my name.
  13. We had a key lime tree in our backyard. My mom made an awesome key lime pie with a meringue topping. We kept all our citrus trees well fertilized by burying our fish carcasses around them.
  14. I spent a lot of time in the keys in the 70's and 80's. Back when there were no stoplights between Florida City and Key West, and the tiki bar in Islamorada had room for 30 people. Lake Largo was green and had lobster and grouper in it. Spent more time in the upper keys than lower as it was only an hour and a half drive. So I have seen the drastic changes just from the development in the keys. In that report from the CLIA (2020) which lists cruise spend at 7%, it has a little side bar that the per hour spend is 50% more than overnight visitors and 75% higher than day trippers. Yes I have seen the difference between ships in port vs not, and I do understand why some do not like it. I preferred Florida when it had 14 million less people in it.
  15. At least for cabs, much better than Carnival (still J. Lohrs?), better but close to Royal (still Oberon ?), and I believe the same using the premium package (I think Decoy on all 3). Celebrity has a $2+grats up charge on Decoy even with the premium, I believe Princess and HAL both cover it on premium. Princess has Caymus by the glass at an $8+grats up charge as of last summer. HAL's package limits are lower, but the drink prices are much lower also ($14.50 for Decoy on HAL vs $19 on Celebrity). I am using dates from old Carnival ship 2020, multiple RCI sailings from 2021-2022, Princess from summer 2023, and latest Celebrity a month ago. last HAL was 2022 (50 days to next one), but those current menus are in this forum. As always, your sailing may vary, or things may have changed, or I just plain have it wrong, but I tried 🤪.
  16. When they ran the numbers on a per hour basis though the cruise passengers spent more. The bars, shops, and attractions love cruise passengers. The hotels and non tourism dependent residents hate them. Plus those figures would have to be from 2019 or before, as since the shutdown and restart there are more daily arrivals from the airport than ships. Cruise passengers in 2022 were a third of 2019 (city owned docks only allow sub 700 passenger ships, or somewhere around that, if at all), as the only dock allowing most ships is the privately controlled dock the city tried and failed to shut down. Average room rates in 2019 was in the mid $280's, last year it was almost $430.
  17. Same situation as @Herkimer18. I was able to set up an account with just my name, broker name (which is on the statement anyway) and a gmail account that I have never used for anything. Attached a pic of the same mostly blacked out statement that I sent to HAL. Sent the request to HAL on the 14th and received the notification (and same e-mail as @Herkimer18 ) on the 17th. Set up the stock perks account on the 16th and still waiting for verification (I booked another cruise between the 14th and 16th).
  18. I'm not sure if the other lines allow you to bring your own on board, which HAL does, hence the no-charge on the other lines. At least the rate is roughly retail, they are probably losing money on it when overhead is figured in. And lugging a few gallons of water around is a real pain, especially if flying in. I'll make room for wine (buy in port if flying), but at $3 a gallon I am not lugging around water.
  19. No offense, but both these statements are not necessarily true. Distilled water, unless purified by RO or deionization before distillation, will retain any components with a boiling point below that of water. Alcoholic spirits are distilled below the boiling point of water to remove the water. Most commercial distilled water is probably in the 2 to 0.1 megohm range. For comparison the de-ionization system I use at work produces sub 18 megohm water (completely pure is around 18.2 megohm theoretical). If you purify water and then add back salts and minerals, you no longer have purified water. Minerals and salts are both compounds, not pure elements. Modern systems rarely use distillation for water purification, due the extreme energy requirements to heat water. Carbon filtration followed be reverse osmosis is most likely the bulk of it, de-ionization is used when ultra-pure water is required. Micro filtration is also becoming more common. UV is often used as a disinfectant. Ships may still use actual distillation, as the waste heat from the engines can be used as the energy source. Other industries with excess waste heat may also favor distillation.
  20. I have found that all of the cruise line apps I have used are iffy and subject to change until actually onboard, when you connect to that ships actual server.
  21. If the link provided by @2LoveBikes is the one I think it is, you can use the query function to choose the ship name and a start date, which will show the schedule for that ship up to a few months out. It comes in handy knowing ahead of time if you are departing and arriving at the same or different terminals.
  22. Booked today, club orange payment was due with the deposit. Used an online TA though, not a HAL PCC.
  23. Galaxy S20 FE. Airplane mode does not turn off my wifi-calling, just the wifi. T-mobile.
  24. well if one brought their soft-side 6 can lunchbox/cooler, and placed said beverages and ice in it, I believe the temperature would be appropriate. I might be in possession of a version that holds 3 cans and a quart freezer bag of ice that slips into the side pocket of a golf bag.....
  25. Nice! I'm actually on an ancient T-mobile plan with unlimited international data, although with throttling past a certain point. That is assuming they would even know to throttle my plan at this point.
