  1. what are the better excursions on Labadee?/
  2. I snuck the ship info in the original post 🙂 Jewel of the Seas for 6 nights 🙂 I asked about the shakes as I had thought i got them at the coffee place when I sailed Radiance back in 2018. Good to know about the lobster. I love it 🙂 Decent steak in Main would be great also. Thanks!!!!! 🙂
  3. if someone had actually asked instead of assumed they would know that i asked because numerous sailings leave out of florida, including mine). but these days everyone wants to be offended, or assume something that isnt there :-0
  4. No, thi sis not just another should i buy or not the beverage apckage 🙂 We are.. but as I am relatively new to RCI, having only sailed 1x back in 2018...... i have a few specific questions. Info...we will be on the Jewel OTS for 6 nights in February heading toNassau, LAbadee, and Flamouth. 1. The wife likes sparkling water.. what brand/s does RCI have? 2. Also, she like vodka and club soda..is this available at the bars etc?? 3. What bar would one go to if they wanted a great martini?? 4. RCI still using Coke products? I know Carnival did switch 5. Is 1800, Avion, and Patron Silver the only tequila brands on the ship?? 6. Milkshakes onboard? The coffee shop do them or another place?? 7. Can you order a alcoholic drink and then also a shot at the same time?? or can i get two drinks at one time for myself and my wife or is it one at a time?? 8. and one not beverage query. on formal nights, what is the menu like in main dining room?? Ie> carnival has lobster? what is RCI claim to fame?/ Thanks in advance for ALL responses 🙂
  5. this didnt age well at all 🙂 hahaha so now i can sail form Florida 🙂 i normally sail Carnival, but have sailed RCI in the past. My upcoming is a RCI as it is a music cruise set up by friend sof mine. so thus they chose RCI this go around 🙂 I have liked both.
  6. as stated previously, i am scheduled out of Florida, not Calif. or the northeast 🙂
  7. indeed, we normally do that, but in this case wasnt wanting to deal with airlines vouchers etc. but now it doesnt matter 🙂
  8. i am good with a month or so 🙂 haha I dont sail til February, BUT full payment is due in October, so as long as they do it before then haha 🙂
  9. no idea to be honest, heard on on a cruise news source. but i am sure all lines are doing well considering most are done with the hype and wanna travel 🙂
  10. Yeah, i read wrong and California was not included. I dont want a political discussion, because the CC rules forbid them, so i wanted to let that be known so this would not be shut down. I ask about Florida, because i am scheduled to sail out of PC in February, THAT is why this is Florida specific 🙂
  11. following, as I am unvaxxed and plan to sail in February. This would be good info to have now 🙂
  12. I agree somewhat. I am certain that Royal would love for all ports to open so as not to worry about these issues and sail and be happy. I disagree that Carnival , at least, as I have read their verbage, is burying anything. It is right there, not hidden, that local destinations canand will dictate their own rules. That has always bene the issue, pre covid and certainly will post covid. You certainly ARE correct about the money 🙂 it always wins in the end. 🙂
  13. I think in many cases, and this is not line specific, that many travellers(and possibly with poor advice) choose the wrong ship or line for them!!!! I mean i have sailed Royal previously, but am very experienced with Carnival. If i were advising a young couple or family who are very active on a specific ship, it certainly would not be one of Carnival or Royals smaller older ships. They dont have the bells and whistles etc that would enlighten and entertain them, whereas an older couple simply wanting to relax would find a small to mid size ship relaxing. Got to know your needs and adjust your style of ship etc accordingly!!
  14. First, no politics, just wondering why..... I see that Carnival has opened up to unvaxxed, while Royal has not opened up ports in Florida like they have in California and Galveston? Anyone know why and when this should/will change? I see Carnival doubled its bookings yesterday...think Royal will see this and quickly move to open Florida??
  15. thanks so much, i bene hearing different for Nassau, is why i asked. Thanks!! Would love to know about Falmouth after your journey 🙂
  16. my sailing would specifically be Nassau, Labadee, and FAlmouth
  17. SO you are saying that at this time FAlmouth and Labadee will allow unvaxxed in ports from here on out(obviously they can change at a moments notice).??
  18. True, i understand that. thanks 🙂 Just wanting to get any up to date info I can to see if this cruise will be a go at least at this time 🙂
  19. Good Morning.. I normally have sailed Carnival in the past, pre-covid and vax mandates, but did sail RCI back in 2018 and had a great time. I don't know much about RCI except what I have researched etc. We have a cruise scheduled for February 11 on jewel, and now due to the lines opening up to non vaxxed, I had a question!!! It appears we can now sail , BUT i am told many ports still do NOT allow unvaxxed people on the islands, specifically, Labadee, Nassau, and FAlmouth? Is this true still and anyone know the chances of this being lifted now that lines have opened up somewhat?? Thanks for any info in advance 🙂
  20. Unsure the issue. The CDC has stated plainly that vaccinations do NOT stop you from getting or giving covid, so what the point of any vax mandate? If a line wishes to limit exposure they should simply forget about a vax mandate and have everyone tst before going. Facts!
