  1. I know I am going to regret asking this but what do you need frozen? We have always had mini fridges and never a freezer. We have had awesome stewards who kept us always in ice- ice buckets that is. The only time Carnival froze something for us, it was our wedding cake from getting married and reception onboard. Even then we could not take anything frozen off at debarkation.

It's for breastmilk for my son.

  2. We will be going next month on the Splendor and neither my wife or I drink liquor so we will be getting the bubbles program. Since we can't use it for virgin liquor drinks, we always like to try different mixes with what we got instead of just coke, O.J., etc., for example O.J. and cranberry juice mixed together. OR root beer and soft serve ice cream.

What are some of your creations that you can use with the bottomless bubbles?

  3. Yes!

Uber picks up and drops off at both Fort Lauderdale and Miami ports and airports.

    Thank you Kel! Much appreciated!

    Thank you for the info!!!

I have a cruise coming up shortly from Miami. We are from Canada as well and purchased a sim card from Roam Mobility dot com.

US Sim card $9.95 (Their sim card is on tmobile) then you just pay for days you want service.

    Unlimited Text/Data for 1 day $1.95

Unlimited Text/Talk for 1 day w/voicemail and caller id $2.95

    Unlimited Text/Talk/Data for 1 day $3.95

    Other longer plans available.

Definitely worth checking out...I haven't used mine yet but a friend I work with just used his for a trip to NY and said it worked as advertised.

You must have an unlocked cell phone and you can purchase the sim card at most gas stations.

    Thanks for this!

  4. First off you really need to change your display picture!!! :p GO WINGS GO...... secondly, we always purchase a travel data plan before we head to the States. Depending who your carrier is, its a bit expensive but its nice to know you have it if needed!! we use Koodo this is what they charge

    10 days

    $40

    Unlimited minutes

    250 MB of data

    Unlimited outgoing texts

    Free incoming texts

LOL, I'm still a leafs fan for life. Are you upset we took your coach?

I have Rogers, they charge an arm and a leg for extras.

  5. I would not give a tip, at least a full one, for an infant. Looking back we fed our infant, we cleaned up after him. No staffer even served him a meal. We took care of his bedding. I don't think staff did anything particularly for our infant. Which was fine. Cruise went well.

    And note from Carnival's website:

"Guests less than two years of age are not required to extend gratuities."

    https://help.carnival.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/1123/~/service-gratuities-(tips)

    For Norwegian it's the same.

"A service charge (currently US $ 12,95 p.p./day in the following categories: Studio, Inside, Oceanview, Balcony & Mini Suite; US $ 14,95 p.p./day in Suites & The Haven Suites) will be payable, at your discretion (for guests 3 years and older)."

    http://www.ncl.co.uk/helpful-information/faqs/#service-charge

Much of the above information is not correct(at least it wasn't a year ago when I went on a CCL cruise with an infant).

They are not charged tips though you are welcome to leave extra if you so desire.

fwiw: we did not desire and did not leave extra for our infant.

As trajan also mentioned above the cruise line did about diddly squat for my infant. We provided and cleaned his food, brought and made his bed, and cleaned up what tiny messes he did make.

Thanks for this, I think I will take into consideration that we should probably tip something, just maybe not fully. But we will of course consider what kind of service we get for our LO.

  6. No it uses gps and your location in order to request your ride so maybe a cab on way back would be best unless there would be wifi at cruise terminal

I do NOT know this to be a fact, but I was looking in to shuttles and read uber cannot enter cruise port restricted areas to drop passengers at the terminal. You may want to research to see if this is still the case. My luck would be I would get there and have a long walk to the boat!

We have the same luck, lol. Thanks for the heads up.

Ya, I think we will use Uber to the port and arrange for a shuttle coming back, thank you very much for all the info.

  8. I would for sure do the xl..... since u have luggage

Wifi at hotel? but that would be a issue

The issue is getting off the ship, no WIFI to use, unless we pay. Are we able to order Uber in advance?

Thank you for the $20 off.

Thanks, i've never used Uber before, so this would be our first time. Only issue is we are from Canada so dont have a data plan in the US, how would we get picked up without using the App?

  10. All "persons" tip....so you are expected to tip for the baby, too. Sorry! The waiters will do all they can to bring you the foods your little one can eat.....the cabin attendant will be removing the dirty diapers....they will deserve the additional tip. You will be surprised at how much "service" you get regarding your child!

    Thanks

  11. Just wondering what the opinion is on tipping for an infant. I presume they will automatically deduct from our account at the end of the sailing. But but since there really isnt much service for an infant, do we tip? We will be on Carnival with a 7 Mos old.

    Thanks
