i have now been lucky enough to sail on the Apex / Edge and the Beyond and am on the Ascent in a few weeks I have had the combination of single infinity balcony room / porthole room and will have an internal room on the Ascent - i also travel solo Unless i win the lottery i will never be in a position to have a suite room but i can assure you that the Edge class ships are amazing for all passengers ... while we do not have the extra restaurants or access to the retreat but the rest of the ship is so beautiful, the staff so helpful and the Martins very very tasty 🙂

I also considered doing this trip for the Christmas of December 2025 but i was worried that there would be a delay to the build that would put out the trips .. and by that stage it would be to late for my Christmas cruise .. so did not take the chance - so booked the Ascent instead .. .but will look at doing one of the sailing in early 2023

Evening, I am on Asent in May , I have not booked Wi-Fi as I will be able to use my phone when in Europe as I am from Ireland, but as louche would have it I need Wi-Fi for the day we are at sea …. Really just need it for an hour as I need to process salary for work …is it possible to purchase it for one day or even a few hours, I appreciate it will be more expensive per day rate than prior to cruise thanks

As Hrhdhd said if there is a Q move to one of the others .. they are all beside each other the only time there may be a bit of a Q is when the first show in the theater finishes i travel on my own and have never had to wait ...

I have done 3 Christmas cruises…did the beyond just gone and have 2014 and 2015 already booked 😄 the ships are decorated amazingly with a great atmosphere would highly recommend

as a solo traveller as well as cruiser i am aware of the single supplement .. and i have accepted it as been part of my travels ... it is everywhere not just in cruises i have done 6 Celebrity cruises and have 4 more planned in the next two years i was on the Beyond at Christmas and the only issue i had was that it came to an end 🙂 as a poster has already mentioned people with issues seem to post .. people that had an amazing time do not post

i was looking to book with Bonaire Cruisers but they are fully booked for the day i am in port 29/12 so looking for an other company if any one has any recommendations thanks

I am on the Beyond at Christmas and the first stop is in George Town Grand Cayman - i am considering going to 7 Mile Beach for a while - I am travelling on my own so am wondering what the setup is on the beach - i have done a google search and there does not seem to be any lockers - and while i will not be bringing any valuables i am just wondering how safe my things would be when i go for a swim does anyone have any experience on this thanks in advance Clare

I was lucky to get the solo room on the Beyone this Christmas but other than that its normally a combination of inside room or with a port hole ... the price of verandas is always to expensive but as you said @Z'Loth we can book our holiday on a whim and do not have to check / please anyone else

Morning, I have just discovered cruising and am making up for lost time 🙂 ( 3 done 3 more booked ) As i travel on my own i accept grudging that i have to pay crazy single supplement - with the new E class ships they have single staterooms but they go fast - but if you are lucky to get them you are not paying the single supplement .. or so i thought I was looking at the new Xcel ship for Christmas 2025 - if i book an inside cabin i am paying €2912 or i can get a prime veranda for €3827 but they have the availability of the single stateroom with a veranda for €5348 .... - these are cruise only prices My TA rang Celebrity assuming it was a website glich but no .. that is the price they are charging can anyone explain this to me ?????

Hey, i had the upgrade for premium drinks package in my basket on the Celebrity portal .. the upgrade was showing €22 per day .. just checked now and its been reduced to €16 per day .. a saving €60 for my Christmas Cruise I am based in Ireland ... you might want to check if you are considering it

Afternoon Cat - I am just back from a weeks on The Edge and we stopped in Portofino - is this where you mean ? If so it is a tender to the port - they only had one berth in the harbor but i did not think it caused much of a delay - the harbor is right in the middle of town so there is no additional walking - It is a lovely stop but will warn you there are lots of steps 🙂 but the views are worth it
