  1. What's the deal with beach towels on MSC? I read that they are in your cabin, how do you go about changing them and can you take them off the ship?
  2. We did have some issues initially entering our address on MSC's site it kept wanting a state entering but then changed its mind and allowed us to bypass it. When the balance was due it was about as low as its been $1.20 to the £, still think it was a great deal though. $3715 for 2 adults and 2 children, easy plus and minor packages, two Wifi packs for 2 weeks on Seascape, only i an inside cabin though. When we booked it the price through MSC UK from memory was £4600ish which included premium drinks and gratuities.
  3. We managed to book out upcoming Seascape cruise through a US travel agent, was much cheaper even taking onboard gratuities into account, only difference really was we got the Easy plus package where as the UK site offers the Premium package (and includes gratuities in the price) Saying that I'm not sure if MSC's own site would have let us book?
  4. As Ferretktf says they always seem cheaper if there is an offer on at the time of purchase. This will be our first MSC cruise having done 4 on RC, in the pre cruise planner I haven't seen the cost of anything change (drinks, speciality restaurants etc) unlike RC that seem to change their prices of things leading up to the cruise, or the used to anyway, been over 4 years since we were on one.
  5. haha wasn't planning on hiding out or dilly-dallying, just leaving at a reasonable time, being honest I couldn't really see it would be any later than 9.30-10.00. After looking online though we might head over to the Dolphin Mall for a few hours which opens at 10am and is near the airport.
  6. Our flight isn't until 17.10 out of Miami so in no rush to get off.
  7. I feel you, its been sub zero all week here, 2 weeks to the minute we will be in Heathrow waiting to board the flight to Miami 🌴🍻☀️ Nice pens BTW
  8. Booked the Blue Lagoon excursion in Nassau, it took me through to the pay screen, put my card details in clicked pay the page loaded and it is still showing in my basket and nothing showing in my booked excursions (apart form the one I have already booked) payment is showing as pending on my credit card though. Don't want to risk paying again and having the hassle of speaking to MSC customer service if I get charged again. Any ideas? Is it just a system delay?
  9. I'm not sure what you guys usually pay in the US $1,270 for a deluxe balcony sounds like bargain also. @Toddcan Is it a 7 night cruise?
  10. Just wondered if anyone had experience of either of these and could make a recommendation for one or the other? Thanks
  11. Just to let you know you can actually cancel excursions for a refund through the website, you can even cancel it for individual people on the booking.
  12. There is cancel button on the booking on MSC's website but will this also refund me my payment does anyone know?
  13. Bit of a different thing but when we were boarding Adventure of the Seas in 2019 the lady checking us in wanted to see copies of our ESTA's (we are form the UK) we didn't have them printed or even downloaded as you don't need copies of them when entering the US by air which we tried to explain. We were with two other groups who didn't get asked for theirs and as we were actually leaving the US I wasn't sure why she wanted them. She got quite abrupt and said we could be detained for not showing them, we had to login to the ESTA website and pull them up one at a time which was a bit of a faff. So I guess the point I'm trying to make is you could get a jobsworth who flags it as an issue, I would guess though as you are an American it would be fine.
  14. Has anyone done this excursion through MSC before? We booked it a couple of months ago but I randomly watched a You Tube Video on it last night and to be honest I wasn't all that impressed with the look of the beach. It wasn't the white sand and clear blue sea I envisaged, if I cancel it through the online portal will it be automatically refunded to me? Can anyone recommend a better beach in the Dominican?
  15. Sorry, is this the one in times square like advised in the cruise planner?
  16. Hoping for 7.30 then, 9.00 would be too late with kids.
  17. If when we board Seascape we want to try and change our dining time for the MDR do we go to the dining room we are booked in? Also, could anyone advise what are the possible dining times we could get allocated?
  18. Seems a bargain, is that out of Southampton?
  19. Yeah same as us, we are form the UK, its -2c today although I saw on the news big parts of the US are really cold at the minute (not sure about Boston?) Hope you have a good one also.
  20. We are doing a 2 week b2b on Seascape sailing 3rd Feb, just did a mock booking for each week on MSC website, first week is showing one YC Suite available and second week is showing one balcony and one suite available. Would this be right 3 weeks out? If so, its going to be a busy one.
  21. Yeah that's what I thought regarding all the metal. thanks
  22. Has anyone had any luck using walkie talkies onboard a cruise ship. Was thinking of buying a pair for an upcoming cruise to keep in touch with family but not sure how well they will work in a cruise ship?
  23. Am I right in saying that in the room there are 4 sockets at the dressing table area (2 x US and 2 x European) and also a old style USB socket by one side of the bed? Any i'm missing? Just thinking how many adaptors I will need as we have UK plugs. Thanks in advance.
