  1. I'm a pretty heavy drinker when on holiday, but a limit off 22 drinks? I don't think many if any are going to drink 22 drinks a day. Seems like a pointless limit.
  2. Do they still serve food in the sports bar on Seascape? If so would anyone have a recent menu, or recall what the served and how much please.
  3. Would anyone have recent menu prices for Butchers Cut and Kaito by any chance on Seascape please? We have booked the two dining package for myself and the wife for $99 but are unsure whether to book it for our 13 year old daughter, looking at an old menu I think the children's menu in Kaito would be fine for her, I haven't seen a children's menu for Butchers so not sure what is on that. If she is unable to order form the children's though due to her age I wanted to check if it would be beneficial to just order her the dining package.
  4. Does anyone know what, if any age limits are on the children's menus in speciality restaurants? Thanks
  5. With us only booking Bella I wasn't expecting to see this show up on the planner, but it has. We were planning to do Butchers Cut, Kaito Teppanyaki and Hola Tacos (we are on Seascape). There is a 2 dining experiences (Butchers and Kaito) for $99, does that seem like a decent price? I'm not sure how much the dining plan menus are if we were to just book them on board for those two particular restaurants, can anyone advise? I'm sure from memory these prices seem higher than they have in the past but that seems to be the way with everything at the minute and if its cheaper than booking them onboard then I guess its worth doing.
  6. I've read quite a few posts about long delays for the tenders getting on and off and Grand Caymen. We have been there a couple of times before and were only going to get a taxi to a beach, so are thinking about just staying on the ship that day. I'm assuming the ship will be pretty quiet will it? We are on Seascape for reference. On the few cruises we have been on we have always got off at a port so will be interesting to see what the ship is like on a port day.
  7. Funny you say that Mark, we were on Adventure of the Seas in 2019, flew into Miami cleared customs without needing to show ESTA (in fact every time we have been to the states we haven't had to show them) stayed a few nights in Miami then headed to the cruise. When we were checking in the lady asked to see our ESTA's which we didn't have copies of, we tried to explain that we had flew into the country a few days prior and didn't need to show them. She got quite arsey and basically said we could be detained if we didn't show her copies, we had to pull them up one at a time on our phone via the website. Bit of a mess on and nearly had the wife in tears. We were with family who checked in separately and none of them were asked for copies of their ESTA's so was a bit odd. For our upcoming Feb cruise I will defiantly be printing or screenshotting them
  8. Your post was one of the ones I saw, we are on Seascape so hoping the menu stays the same.
  9. Interesting, one thing I did notice is that the person who posted the reduced classics menu stated they were in Bella category. Surely they don't determine your menu on which class you have booked?
  10. I've seen two MDR menus from fellow posters recent cruises, one from Seashore and one from Seascape. Seashores was referred to as Comfort classics and only includes Mac & Cheese, Meatloaf, Pasta Bolognese and Fried Chicken. Seascape was called Classic Favourites and had Penne pasta with either Tomato or Alfredo sauce, Spaghetti with Garlic, Pasta Bolognese, Salmon and Rotisserie Chicken. Why the difference? (stupid question really with MSC) We are on Seascape in Feb and hope the Classics stay the same as above and don't change to the same as Seashore.
  11. Just on the online portal, nothing for dining showing. we have one booked next year in YC and dining offers are showing for that cruise.
  12. Hi, As we have only booked Bella it looks as if we are not going to be offered any dining packages prior to boarding. Would anyone have any recent package prices onboard Seascape? Thanks.
  13. We have Bella and are hoping we don't get late dining, we have a 9 year old and 13 year old and 10pm will be far too late for us to eat. If that is the case i can't see us eating in the MDR very often if we were unable to change it. To be honest even if we didn't have the kids with us I wouldn't want to eat that late. Is it only MSC that have such a late dining time? We have only sailed RC before (and its been a few years) but I don't recall there being a late dinging time.
  14. Yeah I agree with you on that, the last two we were on was Adventure and Allure and don't recall having to pay for anything really
  15. I'm yet to sale MSC, Only been on RCCL but I would guess you paid a lot more for RC and NCL than MSC? We priced up RC for next Feb and on the majority of ships it was more for a week than the 2 we are having on Seascape, hence why we thought we would give them a try.
  16. I feel the same as you, it would take something major to ruin our holiday, we have only booked Bella on deck 9, myself, the wife and two daughters but we have already booked a 5 night YC on Virtuosa out of Southampton next June for just me and the wife to see what it is all about. As we are in the UK, YC would be out of our budget for the full family to the Caribbean when you take flights etc into account so am really looking forward to our little 5 night one next year.
  17. You may have, we had points from 2 x RCCL cruises, lowest tier I think and we got 10% off cruise fare plus $100 OBC
  18. We have done 4 but all RCCL between 2004 and 2019 so are not regular cruisers. Went for MSC due to such fantastic prices compared to RCCL. We got two weeks for less than 1 week on Royal. Would love to hear your opinion when you are back.
  19. That's good to know regarding the rotisserie chicken as I know my 9 and 13 year olds love a rotisserie chicken so will be the go to if nothing else they fancy.
  20. We are booked on Seascape in February but haven't actually read any reviews before. Was having a look last night and MSC really are a Marmite cruise line aren't they. You have one review stating, worst food, service, entertainment they have ever experienced to the complete opposite in the next review. You then have people rating them 1 star for the most trivial reasons (IMO), one persons experience had been completely ruined because a $250 charge had been made to their room on the first day of the cruise, I'm not sure why this would completely ruin your experience? A lot of hotels charge a security deposit when checking in in my experience. Someone claiming they had to queue for over an hour each breakfast and lunchtime in the Marketplace buffet, really? I've watched Youtube videos and although it looks busy it certainly doesn't look like hour long queues. I'm almost certain we are going to have a great time as we are pretty laid back and will just go with the flow, nothing that people are complaining about would really be that much of a big deal to us. As long as the suns shining and I have a drink in hand, I will be happy. 😀
  21. Thought as much, also having a check as thought if there was a lot of cabins still available we might get an upgrade offer.
