  1. Does anyone know opening hours for casino after leaving Alaskan ports?
  2. Our April experience on the Mera vs last July was different. Not as good. Breakfast was good/same. Fruit, croissants, apple turnover, salmon on toast. Everything throughout the day and evening was not. Last year, flavored chips, this year walnuts and raisins. After missing dinner one night, went to topsail lounge, about 1030, chocolate covered apples. It seems variety has downgraded. Hope you have better luck.
  3. I think the 3 concierges, Joao, Hassan? and Amber started off a little overwhelmed. Over the course of the 2 weeks things improved and we had good luck with them. We thought the Retreat Lounge was very nice. Good place to stay cool while enjoying suite amenities.
  4. We sailed the 2nd and 3rd sailing of the restart in a Celebrity Suite. Loved it. What suite were you? Luminae was great too.
  5. For us, because of personal likes and choices, it wasn't the same. Little things changed. We agree with you about "little things changed' We still think the YC is a good value and will sail again, but from the July 2023 to the April 2024, Meraviglia sailing, first one was an 8, recent one was about a 6 rating.
  6. Following along Jamie. The food looks good. On an aside, any idea how it is going for your brother on the Mera/YC?
  7. We sailed the Edge 3 times in 2021. We had Rhona as our butler and she was awesome. Ivory and Marko were in Luminae and they were wonderful. Rabin was on the retreat SunDeck and was fantastic. If anyone knows where any of them are now, would love to hear. And also your favorites too. Thanks.
  8. Good news for you. We asked 2 times and told no. Consistently inconsistent.
  9. Lucky for you! We were told no pinot grigio repeatedly. Total bummer.
  10. We are curious as well. Has the Edge, specifically, gone back to butler assigned to sky suite vs. "team approach"? Anyone sail recently with update? We are onboard July 5th. Hoping it is back to the old way by the time we board.
  11. No YC director onboard, so would not know who left the ship. It was not named.
  12. Just off Meraviglia. Rudolph was sommelier. Wonderful. Neshira YC concierge. Very good. No YC Director this week. Seemed to make things not run so smoothly.
  13. Just off the Meraviglia YC. Service last July was great, service this time was mediocre. YC lounge bartenders seemed frazzled. No YC director, had to leave for personal reasons we were told. On a 6 day cruise we received chocolates in the evening 3 times. Nightly treat only 3 times. No afternoon snacks. No chocolate box with thank you from YC director last night. Top sail lounge snacks throughout the day were lacking. Last year flavored potato chips, this year, walnuts and raisins. Missed dinner 1 night playing in the casino, went to top sail lounge for anything quick, walked away with nothing. Chocolate covered apple was about all that was out. For us, we will ask the butler once for something simple/reasonable. If we have to repeat and repeat the request it starts to get exhausting.
  14. Confirmation that it depends on where and when. Asked for Santa Margherita since there was no other choice in YC restaurant. Told, no, only by the bottle. Disappointing that sailing on an Italian cruise line unable to get a glass of pinot grigio.
  15. We were onboard as well. No pinot grigio in Hola or YC, even with multiple requests. Told chardonnay or sauvignon blanc. Care to share what the pinot grigio was?

  18. Glad to report on Magnifica in February there was an attendant checking as soon as you entered the Aurea Sun Deck.
  19. I support cruise staff being kept safe. Cruise lines have security officers which if utilized would be taken much more seriously. I hope MSC figures it out.
  20. YC guests (who are not part of the scheme) lose in this situation. MSC loses (food, beverage) in this situation. Seems unfortunate.
  21. Any idea why this is operating procedure of YC staff?
