Last night, I ended up finding my dream apartment online... Nice building, 28th floor, new kitchen and appliances... Only, with the HOA fees, it's a bit out of my comfort range... There's another, smaller unit in the same building, on the 16th floor that's much smaller, but I could afford. When I say smaller, I mean my current apartment, minus the bedroom... I would have to put most of my stuff in storage, and get rid of some of my furniture. I'm going to arrange to look at it, as the place I was considering just isn't the building I really want to be in forever. Maybe, not even now, even though it's close to work. The smaller place is equally close, and in a much nicer building, with covered parking, which the other place has non gated, non covered parking...

I'm going to try and arrange to check it out soon...

Can you make a low offer on the bigger place? You never know! And also factor in the cost of storage too

  2. Well for all you future instacarters, I had a first today! I took a batch that was a $10 payout, $7 from insta and a $3 tip. Easy one, 4 bottles of wine and some snacks. So low money but easy and quick,

the customer lives in a gated community, I get there and she’s not answering the gate code she put in instructions. The name matches so that's not the issue. I call several times, nothing snd her voice mail is full.

I contact instacart, they try to reach her and are also unsuccessful, so they have me return everything to the store. Bottom line, I now make $22 instead of $10, snd the customer pays $30 for groceries she didn’t even get. People are insane!!!!

I've used them on vacation and tip pretty well, do you get to keep the entire tip from the customer if paid electronically?

The entire tip goes to the shopper so on behalf of my fellow instacarters, thank you

    A few questions about instacart....

can you do it whenever you want, like one day a week or even just a few hours a week? You just do it when you want to

how long, from start to finish, does it take to do an order? Depends on the size of the order and the distance to deliver but you make more $ after a certain distance, .70 per mile

can you do more than one order at a time, say like there are two orders from two different people at the same store. Can you do both orders at once? You can choose which batches to do, but you can only do one batch at a time, some times instacart will combined orders so you ship both a d deliver to two different locations

I can tell people who who are doing instacart orders when I’m at Aldi, they usually look like they’re in some sort of race, whizzing around the store at top speed. Also they are constantly looking at their phone and holding products up next to it, comparing the photos of the items.

I’ve thought about doing it, but haven’t really investigated the how’s and where’s of it. Might be fun. What are your honest thoughts? Try it! Dedicated cruise money

Deedle, I'd love to know what it's like to live on Amelia Island, if you feel like sharing, pros and cons, etc.

    Come and visit!!!

The biggest con is that we've been "discovered" so we are overrun with tourists, but the pro to that used to be jobs. That's gone for now. Also, some people don;t like the heat and hurricanes. And our beaches are  hard packed grey sand, not the soft and pretty white sand you see on the west coast But, that's also subject to opinion. I like our hard packed sand for running.  People also complain about the lack of nightife We have none.  Also, cost of lviing is relatively high.

Pros, so many!  Beautiful island, mostly friendly people 🙂  Great restaurants! Definitely a small town. Lots to do, from exploring the civil war fort to horseback riding on the beach to deep sea fishing. Lots of golf and tennis too. We have the greenway to walk or run, and spot a gator or too. We are also a day trip away from everything from Savannah to Daytona.
