I agree with you. For me it’s quality not quantity. So what if I don’t get a great bargain; but, I know with the Haven I will have a very satisfying experience. 🥂

I was wondering about the prices in the mailed catalog too…I saw a Haven price approximately $800 lower pp than prices online. I was wondering if NCL was teasing us. It makes sense that by the time we receive the mailed catalog the prices would have gone up…especially in the Haven where there are limited Haven Suites on most ships. I reserved a Haven Suite nine months in advance but I believe prices will likely go up the closer I get to the cruise date.

I’m a lady of leisure so I love NCL because it’s a laid back freestyling cruise; and, I can mainly pack casual wear. I usually bring one party outfit just in case. After checking out the whole cruise ship, I prefer relaxing in my Suite after dinner and shows. 🍷.

This shirt is perfect for a cruise…very attractive. It has a relax lay back appearance.

I do the same with packing cubes…it’s so convenient to take already packed cubes out my suitcase and place them on shelves or in drawers (if you lucky to have drawers).

I could save a lot of money if I could deal with an inside cabin but I need space to stretch out. I use to cruise once a year before Covid. I figured on my next cruise I might as well do it up in 2024 in the Haven. I can pick out my Suite and enjoy NCL ship within a ship experience.

I agree three pairs of shoes should be plenty…I plan to downsize on my next 7 day cruise. I have the same problem at home…It’s amazing the things you accumulate over the years.

On a 7 day cruise I need a variety of stuff but I must admit I usually don’t use all the stuff I bring 😆.

Thanks for the correction…I did mean cabin. Your first cruise sounds like an inside cabin; and, to think I was complaining about a small TV 😝!!! I enjoy time in my living space so I do need a reasonable size room no matter how I travel. The only exception is when I’m on a road trip…

Such memories!!! I won an upgrade to NCL Escape Courtyard Penthouse in 2019…Suite 17114. The Suite looked just like the video. Loved it so much I reserved the Haven in 2024 on NCL Joy, The Haven spoiled me so much I can’t cruise any other way on NCL. My first cruise was a free balcony cabinet on NCL Breakaway in 2016…received it from gambling in Atlantic City. 😆 The cabinet size was sufficient for two but there were no drawers. I got a tip from watching a video on YouTube which suggested you bring collapsible fabric storage cubes…they can be placed on the top shelfs in the clothing closet which works out nicely. Also learned to bring a shoe rack hanger so all our shoes are not all over the closet floor. So on my second cruise in 2017 I brought those items on NCL Gem which had I believe a 13” TV …very tiny!!! It’s extra items to bring on your cruise but it made organizing your items so much easier. After the NCL Gem I learned to say away from old ships…too outdated. My next cruises in 2018 & 2019 was on NCL Escape which was wonderful…then came COVID😖!!! I finally plan to go on a cruise on NCL Joy in 2024 & I can’t wait. But I feel all cruises are enjoyable…a cruise is what you make it. Enjoy 🍷

Thank you for sharing your wonderful experience on the Escape Haven. My only Escape Haven experience was 7/2019 in Suite 17114. I bid for an upgrade from a mini suite and NCL accepted my offer! The Haven spoiled me so now I can’t cruise any other way!! I had to cancel a NCL Haven reservation for 4/2020 due to COVID and missed cruising so much. I reserved a Haven Courtyard Suite on NCL Joy for next year 5/2024. Luckily I get to use my two $250 in CruiseNext Certificates that would have expired 5/19/2024…you can use $500 in CruiseNext Certificates on Haven reservations. This will be my fifth cruise with NCL and love freestyle cruising. I’m a Lady of Leisure and I can think of no better way to relax than to go on a cruise…

Thank you for your detailed information. I made reservations for the Joy Haven Courtyard Suite 17116. I found videos of 17118 & 17102… was wondering if 17116 design is the same as 17118 & 17102. I’m hoping the balcony is as large as the aforementioned suites. If anyone have any info on 17116 I would appreciate it. Thanks.
