  1. As I said, I don't know if this is correct info, but the brochure I can see online has 3 itineraries for Iceland: 22nd May '25 16 nights on Aurora Southampton / Skjolden / Alesund / Akureyri / Isafjordur / Grundarfjorour / Reykjavik (2 full Days) / Belfast / Southampton. 27th June '25 pretty much the same as above but in reverse. 1st August 21 nights on Arcadia Southampton / Glasgow / Grundarfjorour / Reykjavik (2 full Days) / Isafjordur / Akureyri / Honningsvag / Lofoten Islands / Narvik / Kristiansund / Alesund / Southampton. There are various sail pasts as well. Sorry about any wrong spellings!
  2. I couldn't sleep last night and ended up browsing online for summer 2025 cruise itineraries. I found a link that seems to show P&O summer '25 itineraries, I don't know if it's genuine or not but I also found several mentions of release dates in April so not too far away. If it is genuine it looks like the ships will stay in roughly the same areas as this summer and next,
  3. I totally agree. We enjoyed the singing and dancing when we watched Festival on Iona last May, but we found the acting and story line a little cheesy, a bit like watching a 6th form school play 😏
  4. It was absolutely pouring with rain when we were there last year. We did the troll car excursion and got soaked through even with raincoats on 🥴 We didn’t mind it, just made the trip more memorable 😂
  5. I had my DSLR and didn’t have any problems finding places to get photos from. As Dave says there are areas where the railings are lower. I took lots of photos from the aft pool areas.
  6. I was awake looking at the scenery from the balcony around 5:30am and out on deck with my camera around 6am. The rest of my family didn’t wake up until after 8 and missed the sail ins. What’s your itinerary? Ours was Stavanger (coastal) , Olden (fjord) Hellesylt (fjord) & Haugesund (coastal)
  7. We went to Norway on Iona 21st May last year and loved it. Weather was mixed, we had heavy rain in Olden and sunshine & blue sky in Haugesund. We couldn’t dock at Stavanger due to weather issues. Haugesund was our least favourite port but it was a national holiday so most places were closed which didn’t help. We enjoyed it so much that we are going back to Norway on Britannia at the end of May ‘24
  8. I'm a shorty so they might be ok for me 🤣
  9. That's a good idea. I think I need to do some research and try various options at home before we go.
  10. I'm definitely going to have to get a travel light or light up make up mirror. We're not going until August but I like to be prepared 😊
  11. She is very fortunate then 😊 My kids used to joke that in an emergency I would grab my mascara first, before them. Only my closest family & friends have seen me with naked eyelashes in the last 35 years or so 🤣
  12. That's a great idea, thank you for the link. 😊
  13. I wondered if any of you could please tell me what the lighting is like at the desk/mirror area in Ventura's standard cabins? Is it good enough lighting to do make-up? When we were on Iona last year the desk area was too dark to do my make up there, I had to take it all into the bathroom. Thanks
  14. I’ve not seen either of them but my sister says Kevin Simm has a fantastic voice. Enjoy your cruise, I’m looking forward to reading all about it
  15. Morning Does anyone know when the summer 2025 itineraries are likely to be released? Asking for my sister…. My OH might hide my laptop if he thought I was about to book another one while we already have two booked 🥴😂
  16. Oh wow, that’s fantastic to get an upgrade to a private box! I love seeing the live shows at the O2, I didn’t get tickets for this year though. Did you have a browse round the designer outlet while you were there? 😊
  17. I'm reading Mrs Harris goes to Paris at the moment, only a couple of chapters in at the moment 😊
  18. I remember my sister had problems last year. I think she was trying to use her phone but it would only work on her ipad, or it may have been the other way round? Have you got another device you can try using?
  19. 😳 I think if my first child weighed 10lbs 3oz he would have been an only child! 😂
  20. Congratulations Grandma, how lovely. 💕 Goodness that’s quite a weight, makes my eyes water!
  21. I think my dad has written to P&O asking them to warn passengers when going ashore in Tenerife. He says they warn about pickpockets in various ports so this shouldn’t be any different.
  22. Thank you, I’ve had a quick look at that link and many of the shops/situations discussed sounds exactly like my dad’s experience, I think one even mentions the same shop. It’s awful that it is so rife.
  23. Thank you Kalos It was 2 cards, not sure if credit or debit, the guy said the first card hadn’t worked and asked for another 🥴 My dad is usually pretty savvy with that type of thing but does love a gadget so what seemed like a good deal won him over. One of the banks initially said no refund but after a few calls have agreed to look into it. The other bank say they may be able to reimburse, so he’s just waiting and hoping to get some money back. That’s a good idea about the travel money card. If they do their Med cruise in September I’ll help him get one of those. I’m off to the Canaries this August so will do the same for us. We’ve since heard about quite a few people who have been scammed from the same or similar shop in Playa Las Americas. 😳
  24. I think it’s put them off going abroad on their own. Theyve said they’d feel more confident if me, my sister or brother were with them to take over the organising and responsibility. They’ve got another cruise booked on Arvia in September but they’re considering cancelling it. I’m hoping they will still go or at least move their booking to a ship where they can do Club dining and not have to worry about booking tables for dinner.
