Yep, the other half of the five day cycle is the 9 day. Manzanillo, PV, Mazatlan, then Cabo (or La Paz). That there is a great cruise.

We had an aft balcony on the Spirit and I won't do it again due to it being very hot and no breeze, but many people love them.

The Splendor has the retractable roof, so if you have rain or bad weather, the roof closes ....and the pool/lido deck is still open.:)

The aft pool on Conquest has a retractable roof as well.

This. It is a combined room key/S&S card.

There has to be some way to restrict it since alcohol purchases can be cut off from the card but that is the only restriction I know of.

All the ships have a placard up on the track indicating how many laps equals a mile, kilometer, etc.

however he said on in port days, its not that great of a deal. Because with you being off the ship until practically 4pm...and usually returning tired and already buzzed from sitting on the beach, its hard to get your 15 drinks in for that day.

It's not a great deal on hangover days either. :o

I ordered a Carnival brochure back in middle school (mid-90s) and the Tropicale had a 15-night southern Caribbean itinerary that I was obsessed over. :)

I'm by no means upset over it, but I had a great experience with the one on Spirit a few years ago. She definitely improved the quality of the cruise for me.

The list was updated yesterday on GoCCL but it appears they did not include any cruises into June in the latest update. Currently on select sailings through May.

The aft pool area on Conquest is much more calm than the midship area in my experience. I do wish she had a Serenity area though. :(

I have found that the very top/front of the ship is best for this. Anywhere midship or aft will have too much light pollution from the ship itself.

Fascination previously did those (back in 2012 I think) but stopped, presumably due to lack of demand.

Got there at 11, were on board by 1130 and were told rooms were ready. This was in November and without FTTF/priority.

It is available for purchase immediately upon boarding if you so desire. And we did. ;)

They usually enter the Mississippi between 10:30 and 11:30. Sometimes earlier, sometimes later. It depends on how many pier runners they have in the last port, weather, pilot availability, and other factors.

 

You usually know when you are entering the Mississippi because the ship will slow down to take on a pilot, and you can feel the momentum change if you are aware that it will happen.

You will also see hundreds of cell phones out and lit up. :p

I agree, that martini Basa fillet on my cruise last sept was my absolute favorite main dish. I hope the new Basa is good.

The list of sailings with no supplement is updated twice a month, the last time being on 2/21.

I believe they have changed the default from printing two receipts to just one. I received a duplicate copy every time on the Conquest in 2012 but none last year.

You can book beforehand or once you board.

Chef's Table is $75/pp and the steakhouse is $35/pp. Both are great experiences! The Chef's Table is scheduled for one or two nights but the steakhouse can take a reservation for any night.
