  1. Thank you for the wine lists @rudeney!!! What were your selections in Chops & Gios?
  2. I was under the impression that you couldn't book shows until on board but could be wrong.
  3. The below thread was from last week and he posted all the CCs. Would imagine them to be similar if you wanted a preview...
  4. Hmmm, I have Chops reserved for day 1 lunch for our sailing on the 16th. A free lunch at Gio's would be quite welcome!
  5. @Nabalab - I'm wondering about Chops as well after OPs comment about it being closed. The app shows all the restaurants being open for lunch on day 1 but the only lunch you can buy on the Cruise Planner for any day is for Chops which when purchasing, allows you to do a lunch reservation for day 1 and the 2 sea days on the itinerary. Not sure why they wouldn't have them all available. Thanks @rudeney for the review! Could you get some pics of the wine lists in Chops and Gio's for me? Hope you have a blast and smooth seas the rest of your trip!
  6. Nothing really special or unique about the port and check in, other than an odd layout. The below post is part of a great thread on the Can/NE itinerary. We're on the 10/16 sailing and I'm planning on doing a live thread. Other than that, cabins should be open by 1ish. I believe you get your Sea Pass on check in but can't get to the room until announced.
  7. According to the CC he posted from day 1, it was just Chops. Kinda bummed. Day 1 lunch options are Chops, Cafe Promenade or WJ and that's it. I bought the Chops lunch as I'm not a fan of the boarding day buffet especially in light of the fact that's the only free major option available for about 3500 people.
  8. Not dumb at all, booking accessible cabins is a definite maze sometimes. Accessible cabins are priced the same as any other cabin in that category, the codes are the same. DW and I are in an accessible cabin next month that I repriced several times and got about $500 off from when originally booked. Just look at prices for that category regardless of whether or not the cabin is accessible, and you should be good to go.
  9. @alexgtp - QM2 does a couple of Canada trips out of NY and Boston is a POC for her. Lucky you, I always wanted to get a look at her. Considering a TA on her one day, maybe a S2S with an Iceland or Scandanavian cruise out of Southampton after. Someday!
  10. Thanks again for taking us along @alexgtp. You helped out a great deal in letting me know what to expect and how I need to prepare. Glad you had a great time and hope you have a nice day around town tomorrow. Weather should hold up OK for you. Safe travels!
  11. Glad you guys look to have a nice evening to wrap up your trip. Stinks that you missed Bar Harbor, but gives you a reason to come back!
  12. How have the seas been? Cruisemapper says you guys are hitting some pretty good swells.
  13. Good info @SlightDraw, thank you! Disappointed in the casino offerings. I enjoy sitting at the bar, watching the game and slowly draining my wallet into a video poker machine. Guess I'll need to come up with something else. I thought that Voyager got a refresh during the shutdown, so didn't think there would be much work needed. Guess I'll need to have another cocktail, so I don't notice when I'm on board next month... ðŸĪŠ
  14. Thanks! I'm assuming the 'Taste of Gio's' is referring to the fact that it's a pared down menu from what they offer for dinner.. And $23 was a little over what i was hoping. Looks like DW sins and it will be lunch in the MDR on sea days. Surprised about the Bar Harbor cancel only in that I would have thought it to be far enough away to really avoid any trouble for you guys but guess I was wrong. Hope the fall victim is OK, bummer of a vacation when someone gets hurt.
  15. This poor guy has been getting harassed for these CCs more than on any thread I've seen. I was after him a couple days ago too! 😄 Thank you again @alexgtp for taking the time from your cruise to post all this info. Such a huge help in the planning process. If you happen by Gio's Table at any point when they're open for lunch, can you find out what the cover is? Thx again!
  16. I don't think that you need one. You're fully vaxxed, as long as you test negative within the 72 hour window dictated by ArriveCan, you're good to go. Plus, I thought I heard Canada would be relaxing their entry requirements in the coming days. I expect to see you on board. First round is on me!
  17. Someone once told me it builds character. I believe i was 9 or 10 and the person that told me this was a parent of some sort with a driveway full of snow. I have recently discovered that they become somewhat more tolerable with periodic trips to Bayonne and beyond... One of these days, we'll get that homeported ship with the cold weather itineraries to warm weather places we've been pining for!
  18. I thought my dinner last night was starting to taste a little pumpkiny....
  19. How have you found the S&S wifi to be? I've heard some not so good things about the service on Voyager, and not just in our cabin lol
  20. A semi-distant horn certainly sounds pleasant. However... @CatLadyFemme did a thread back in the beginning of the summer where she stayed in the same cabin we are, forward on deck 12. She said it was bad enough that they asked to be moved to another cabin when it started going off during the night. They were allowed to sleep in a vacant cabin for the night, but my sailing next month looks pretty packed so I don't know if we'll have that option. I'm looking into noise canceling headphones for us both. I'll have to make sure to download whatever I'm going to listen to through said headphones as she also mentioned that the S & S wifi was non-existent in the cabin. I requested this specific cabin for it's location. It looks so nice in the pictures, and I'm sure it will be,. It's got floor to ceiling windows on one wall, but the view seems to come at a price. A small price at the end of the day as I'll still be on a cruise so it's all good...
  21. Click on 'View Boarding Pass' And it's right under the link for the Set Sail Pass. It's also on the last page of your eDocs
  22. @alexgtp - 2 questions for you - First, can you please post today's CC? And second, any appearance of the foghorn yet on the ship? Our cabin is forward deck 12 and I'm praying that there's no cause to set the thing off in the middle of the night...
  23. They're about a pound and a quarter. They call 'em chickens, or chix. They're usually what you get with the twin specials many places run. I can field strip and consume one of them things in about a minute and a half, right down to their spindly little legs! ðŸĶžðŸ˜„
  24. Shows how much attention I pay. I don't know that I've ever used one, but always assumed it to be a fridge. Anyone care to tell me where you'd get a bag of ice on board to cool that thing down then? 😄
