Given that they just got in from a 2 week TA through some out of the way ports, I'm sure they haven't been able to do a good restock in a while. I'd imagine those problems should go away once they're taken in and distributed all the new provisions. And yeah, would imagine a festive local crowd watching the Pats. Such will be the case for these sailings, I'm sure.

Not to gloat, but I bought the DBP + Voom for $64/day during the Black Friday Sale last November and was annoyed as I had missed a sale where it was $59/day. No longer annoyed by that. Will be a lesson to me going forward, that's for sure. Even with today's nutty pricing!

...and bonus, I'd imagine the sailaway party will be on the pool deck with pools being opened and enjoyed in the warm sunshine!!!

Certainly looks crowded but it also appears to be orderly as well given the amount of people that are there. We have check in at 10:30 on our sailing as well so it's good that they seem to have the kinks worked out. Have to imagine they had the personnel to deal with the increased traffic from multiple ships than has been reported earlier in the cruising season. How exciting for you guys, hope you have a drink in your hand by now! 🥤

I thought Anthem actually did the NE/Canada itinerary several years back for a season, but could be wrong. Would love to have her homeported for a Caribbean itinerary, but Royal keeps refusing my calls 😄

I hate to ask this if it's going out of your way, @alexgtp, would you be able to grab a picture of the price list in the spa? I can't find a current shot of one anywhere. I'm considering surprising DW with some sort of facial or massage, but would like to compare pre-booking with on board discounts on port days, etc.. TIA!!!

I've enjoyed many an hour at the tables next to the Solarium Bar on Anthem playing cribbage, people watching and undergoing fluid replacement. Sitting in the cabin just isn't for me, even with a balcony. Got to be out and about! Just not with 2000 kids of course...

I was actually going to try my first 'Live' as I'm planning on doing a whole lot of nothing on my trip and will have time to report. Just one excursion at St. John for us. I did take a minor splurge not 5 mins ago and booked Chops for embark lunch. I'm not a fan of the WJ crowds and lunch choices seem limited. So we board at 10:30ish, time for a couple of cocktails, lunch @ 12:15 and with any luck, cabins should be open when we leave after lunch. Will you be posting the CC? And I'm curious to hear about your embarkation experience. We sailed in May on NCL and I wasn't a fan of the Black Falcon Terminal. It's an odd setup and I'm wondering how it will do with the crowds from a larger ship. Enjoy your time in Boston! Hope your folks enjoy it as much as you seem to! We look to have a good stretch of weather coming up for your journey.

Anyone know what deck/where do you enter Voyager on embarkation? I'm assuming Deck 5 but can't really tell where from the deck plans.

And that I would consider to be an acceptable straight razor experience. The shave I got on NCL was with a disposable, multi-blade type razor. Similar to what you'd buy in the store, but more substantial looking.

I've been on Anthem a couple of times. Surf & Stream wifi works reasonably well and nothing untoward about buying a package to use between multiple devices, you just can only have as many devices connected as your package allows, just as the prior poster states. Enjoy the cruise!

Appreciate the insight, suspected that for any number of reasons they would use disposables. As for the rogue wave scenario, straight razor or no, I have considered this possibility and am booking this for a port day. 🙂

So I did a facial/shave on NCL a while ago and thoroughly enjoyed it even though I'm not really a spa kind of guy. The only thing I was disappointed in was that it wasn't a straight razor shave, which I've never had and by all accounts is superior. We're on Voyager in October, anyone know if the Vitality Spa uses straight razors? I'll have some time to fill while DW gets a surprise facial/massage. Incidentally, my facial tech on the NCL cruise told me that because of an 'incident that occurred a few years prior between a couple of ship crew, they no longer kept them on board and used disposables. I'm unsurprised in this except for the fact that the incident didn't include any drunk pax. 🤪
