  1. Hmm...not sure what happened when we checked in then, both of ours have silver anchors and we were mega rockstars.
  2. We were mega rockstars at the end of May - and also had David as our roadie, he is so lovely. Drinks up to $25 glass & 2 bottles of wine per cabin per day up to $90 are included. Anything over the limits is charged in FULL to your room. So Moet by the glass is $21, by the bottle it's $95. I had actually planned to Shake for Champagne once onboard & pay for it - but at sail away discovered that hubby & I don't like Moet champagne, Veuve is the one we like!! Every time you order something that has a charge - alcohol, specialty coffee etc your wristband is scanned. We had a black wristband with red dots, and it seems like all rockstars had the same, no differential for mega. Regular sailors had red wristbands. When we were on board David had 5 cabins to look after.
  3. The Galley has thermal jugs, trays, mugs creamer/milk jugs etc all on hand to take a coffee/tea back to your cabin - or elsewhere on the ship. You could also fill your own thermal cup with tea/coffee if you wanted to. The Grounds Club coffee/tea is an additional fee, there is one in The Galley & one on deck 7. There weren't any coffees on the menu at Richard's Rooftop when we were there a couple of weeks ago. I did get an excellent espresso martini at On the Rocks though!
  4. I didn't even ask - we had $450 onboard credit and were mega rockstars so didn't pay for any alcohol/specialty coffees. I was in the stores the last night trying to spend the on board credit!! VV were very generous with the rebooking, leaving $20 on the table wasn't an issue, we had a serious upgrade (central sea terrace to gorgeous suite) for less than we originally paid as our taxes & port fees were refunded.
  5. When we were cancelled the first time (due to covid) the port fees & taxes were refunded to our credit card. I was able to use the future cruise credit to cover the taxes and fees on #2 (also cancelled due to covid) and finally #3 - which we went on at the end of May and it was brilliant! I had $70 of credit left, I was able to turn $50 into sailor loot (onboard credit) -they only do it in $25 increments.
  6. We were canceled 2x due to covid, I was unable to use the FCC to bring our (18+) sons on boards, as they considered that a transfer of FCC. I even tried putting hubby in one cabin & me in another - and the phone agent just said 'nice try Mrs Jones!". Others may have had success with this - might depend on who you speak to. You can use for 2 cruises within the time frame that you have to use it. We finally sailed at the end of May, we blew the entire FCC on a Gorgeous Suite (mega rockstar), and had $70 left over. I was able to convert $50 into sailor loot (onboard credit) as they will do that for you in $25 increments.
  7. We just passed the final hurdle...after 2 cancelaltions and waiting since Oct 2019... our covid tests are negative! We are already in Miami and just tested at 2pm, exactly 48hrs before boarding! We've waited longer for this trip than we had known each other before we got married!! Bring on the mega rockstar experience!
  8. We are at the airport waiting for our flight to Miami!!!
  9. Maybe we will see you on board! We are flying to Miami tomorrow!
  10. From what I have read if it is over the limit per glass/bottle you pay the whole price, not just the difference .
  11. I wonder if the Galley service is because of covid - I would love to know if the original concept was that sailors could go to each 'vendor' and choose their food and take it to the table. Having everyone seated helps keep passengers distanced etc.
  12. Thank you - I am planning to be in the water on our trip. This looks good though for when I'm not planning to be in water.
  13. The affogato cart is one of the things I can't wait to try!!!
  14. Just wanted to update - I bought Sally Hansen leg make up lotion in light, tried it out today and I'm happy with it. It reminds me of a product I used to buy many years ago in the UK called No7 Barely There Stocking Cream, adds some color and helps hide my veins. Thanks all for sharing ideas!
  15. Thank you for sharing this! I was thinking it should be quieter as there are more rooms between us and the pool now! 17 days!!
  16. What number is your suite? We have a Gorgeous suite in 2.5 weeks, last week it was changed to 15 299A (previously we had 15 283Z). About an hour after I received an email showing the change a Rockstar agent called to tell me it was changed due to 'inventory' and it was port side which gives a great view as leaving Miami. It's also a bit further from the pool which seems like a good thing! Thank you for bringing us along on your trip!
  17. Hello, I like to fake some colour on my (very white) legs in the summer, it also helps cover spider veins. I'm not looking to get a deep tan, just a little colour. I usually use the Jergens lotion that builds up over a few days, but was wondering if anyone has any suggestions for a fake tan or leg make up product that has more instant colour? Being in hot tubs/pools/ocean tends to make the colour disappear fast, and the daily lotion type of self tanner doesn't really work well if you are in water like this every day. I'm not too worried about having the colour while I swim, but I like a little colour when I wear my skorts and dresses! I've seen Sally Hansen Airbrush legs has a product in a spray can & a lotion, and that there are some instant sunless tanning products - just wondering if anyone has tried any and has recommendations? Thank you!
  18. Hello, We are flying into Miami 2 days before our cruise, arriving at 9.30 am. We have 2 days to fill in Miami - any suggestions? We are staying at the Hotel Indigo Brickell (thank you IHG points!). We will be there May 25th-27th. Thank you!
