Thank you for the update funtastic, glad you found it straightforward. Who did you book your private transfer with? I will be disembarking a cruise in Barcelona next year and am already planning ahead!

We booked QM2 to the Norwegian Fjords in June 2024. We took our first ever cruise on QV in November this year and were very keen to try QM2 this time. I fear this might be the start of an expensive habit!

We were on board for 10 days in November - didn't notice a smell in the Winter Garden during that time.

Out of interest - what would happen if the holding charges 'used up' the available balance on a passenger's credit card, so that there isn't enough available when Cunard then claim the full amount at the end of the cruise? So - using random numbers as an example! - let's say a passenger is using a credit card with an available balance of 2,500. They spend 2,000 on board - all of which is 'held'. They would then have only 500 available balance 'left' when Cunard try to claim the full 2000 balance. What would happen? Assuming, for the sake of the hypothetical scenario, that the passenger does not have access to another credit/debit card or cash...?

There are also currently roadworks on the M3 from junction 14 up to junction 9 (Winchester/A34 interchange) which is certainly causing quite a slowdown along that stretch - worth being aware of for anyone heading towards London if they've got flights to make! Roadworks will be ongoing until at least next summer, I believe.
