This is absolute BS. I and my mother wear a landyard because we don't stuff pockets (even if what we wear has any), we don't carry a purse on board, and don't want to lose it. Furter, I don't have a spouse/partner who can use his/her card to fetch and open everything. There are lots of folks who opt to do this and not for this reason.

why on earth would you be hesitant about sailing out of Bayonne? It's beautiful. The port is uncongested. Easy to drive to from major roadways and/or just 15 minutes from Newark airport. And...the Celebrity parking structure and boarding facilities are brand new.

I'm simply stating what I have observed. No need for you to assume how I feel about it or telling me what to do about that incorrect assumption. I think perhaps you just don't like the identifying yourself as one of the people being described. I find that the more people can truly afford, the less likely they are to gravitate to "status" symbols for their own sake. Further, in general they really don't care to be singled out for special treatment, and will often go the extra mile to make sure everyone is treated well. That is "class" and being "classy".

It's rude. people who wish to mingle like that should do so at another time which they agree to meet up. Also, no excuse whatsoever to do this on the roll call forum. There are some posters here who make it a point, in every single post, that they only book suites. And, in some cases, not just any suite but just the penthouse. In fact, a few seem to have some sort of disdain for the "lesser" or newer suites (Celebrity suite & Aqua suite). Usually that's followed by some definitive statements regarding their superior knowledge of Celebrity. This is not the norm by any means. Most people don't care. You pay for what you get, and it all depends upon what's important to you.

Bayonne is now a beautiful port that is very well managed.

Really? how high is high enough? You aren't going to get a personal email for the CEO that she actually reads here. Try calling customer service and ask to speak to a supervisor. Demand it be verifiably fixed or an email be sent to you, while you hold on. That has always worked for any issues I have had difficulty solving (for my daughter who books herself online). Next time consider using a travel agent. If you are within 60m days of having made the original booking, transfer it to a travel agent and let him/her fix it.

Been on the Summit many times (next week again), and then Euinox twice. i prefer Equinox because the layout is better, and I like the small theater and use of the common space just outside. Everything I want at mealtime is aft and everything I want the rest of the time is forward. Summit I spend more time going back and forth and up and down.

Hard to open. Mom cut her hand and she's on blood thinners. Bled like crazy all over. Gets warm immediately and i think it has a tinny taste. Overall...I hate it.

Has nothing to do with experience. It's written by the service provider in plain english. Either you observe it, or you don't. period. Whether you do or not is always a hot topic hear. I just don't understand why you would expect anything at all. From the moment you book a cruise you enter into a contract,. The contract clearly stats what your responsibilities are. You must have a valid passport that extends 6 months beyond the sail date. You didn't keep up your end of the contract. You default, but you still expect some sort of accommodation? Now it's after full payment. Just what are they supposed to do? Take the loss by allowing you to transfer to a later cruise? Give you money/credit to say "sorry you didn't keep up your end, but let us give you money?" That's not only whining, it's a totally selfish point of view. I'm sorry if your passport doesn't come in time. You will have learned a very expensive lesson.

Wait a moment. The Op didn't say "hey I may not be able to take my cruise because...". I would be all sympathy. However, then he went on to say that Celebrity isn't interested in helping him and complaining that he had heard how good their service was and now they aren't helping. That also is very symptomatic of "today" where so many people don't take responsibility for themselves and expect someone else to sacrifice and help them. That is self-entitlement. I don't have patience with that (nor should anyone imo0, and anonymous forum or not I would say the exact same thing.

The point is that this should never be an exception. Ever. To suggest the poster even try is ridiculous. Either is opens the door, via precedence, to allowing everyone to rethink cruise and get FCC or worse, let's him sail in violation of international law. Has absolutely nothing to do with me. There is no question. Room service from the menu in your cabin is complimentary and the servers get their share of the gratuity. IF you want to tip more, feel free. However, it is not required if you have pre-paid tips. No question. just a fact.
