  1. I hope all goes well with your hospital appointment today Graham👍 Avril
  2. Blimey Phil, you are bored today. Time for another holiday methinks.🤔 Having said that........ I'm still laughing.😂 Avril
  3. Ah yes. The Trials and Tribulations of the Newly Retired Married Man.😁😉 Avril
  4. ................are best left attached to the frog🐸😖 Avril
  5. Frank is 76, I was 75 last Friday, and we had a text from the NHS this morning to book our second boosters. Avril
  6. I buy mine from Asda Harry, I don't know if Tesco sell them, but they are a perfect alternative to Marfona, and available year round too. Happy hunting.🙂 Avril
  7. I used to be able to buy them from the local market, and then Asda began to stock them too. When the 'rule', shall we call it, came in about unwashed potatoes🙄, they disappeared. However, Marabel are just the same and so I'm happy. Avril
  8. I'm pleased you have no symptoms Michelle and I hope you are both better soon. Take care . x Avril
  9. Try Marabel potatoes bro, I buy mine from Asda, and they have a beautiful flavour. They're yellow and buttery and don't break up however you cook them. Marfona, Lincolnshire potatoes, are the same, but not all greengrocers sell them. Sis
  10. I'm sure Mrs K is delighted when you give her the same advice kalos . Spend spend spend🤑😁 Avril
  11. Strange how some words when sung sound entirely different kalos.. Everytime I hear Bonnie Tyler sing 'It's a Heartache' I only hear 'It's a Hard Egg' and 'Message in a Bottle', instead of 'a year has come and gone since I wrote my note'- I'd swear he sings 'a year has come and gone since I broke my nose'🙄 Avril
  12. There was a Joe Edwards who had a crockery stall on Barnsley market that did the same thing. I would stand for ages watching him pile a dinner service along his arm, and toss it from one arm to the other. Sis
  13. Now you're going to think me quite odd Phil (or maybe you already do😁) but I didn't give covid a thought as to the reason. I'll keep an eye on it, you never know. The Greek islands is a cruise we've not yet done, and the opportunity to meet some CC friends on our favourite ship is a bonus. Avril
  14. I thought it would be nice to try and meet up on a cruise, so I've looked online and the balconies are sold out, so that puts paid to that idea🤔 Avril
  15. Arcadia was our first cruise ship when we began cruising, and we loved her. The standard balcony cabins are lovely with a separate sitting area, like the deluxe balconies on other ships. She has a wonderful two-tier theatre with comfortable, large seats. There is no atrium, which some see as a problem. Two of Arcadia's lifts, one port and one starboard, are glass fronted facing out towards the sea. Gave me quite a start I can tell you when the lift doors opened. As on Aurora, (our favourite ship), there aren't as many dining options or watering holes as the larger ships, but it depends on what you want from your cruise. We've been on Arcadia 4 times and have enjoyed every one. We have been on all P&O's smaller ships and liked every one, but it's just my personal opinion. Avril
  16. Probably shook few fillings loose for the poor wheelchair user too I would imagine🥴 Avril
  17. Sorry to hear about your Mum's fall Sarah. As a 'tripper upper' over fresh air myself, I can sympathise. It would be shame for her to miss out on seeing some of Norway. Try looking through the tours again, there may be some suitable for her in a wheelchair that one of the family can accompany her on. I've not been to Norway, so I'm only guessing, but there have been in other countries we've visited so it's worth a look. Hope all goes well for your Mum on Wednesday Sarah. Avril
  18. No Bob, you're not. I love the genuine old dishes from Victorian/Edwardian era, and have plenty of part sets that came down from my Gran and Mum. I also pick the odd one or two pieces up from antique fairs or Flea markets. I have quite a mish-mash of dishes, jugs serving plates and tureens etc, that I use every day. Avril
