Got the same message for dec, I just deleted and paid no attention to it. They are probably doing a system upgrade and it sent the message out

Sorry to disagree...
But having just been there a few months ago....I suspect this photo I took from the shore of Independence of the Seas will support the fact that they DO anchor the ships in Grand Cayman.
You can disagree all you want, I stated my specific experiences. No I don't have pics to prove it either
-
No I'm not sure, I was just assuming. I could very easily be wrong.
Anytime I have been in grand cayman they have never used the anchor ! They let the propulsion units hold the ship in place

The hull of Anthem of the Seas is completed. Unbelievable...
Simply amazing !! Moving right along not missing a beat, so we will be all glued to watching her do the conveyance

And yet considerably smaller than Oasis and Allure. Has anyone explained why the shipyard is located so far from the sea and on such a narrow river? I imagine it was built when ships were much smaller but have they ever considered relocating to somewhere more easily accessible?
It was mentioned that when the yard was founded they chose to put it so far back to be out any bad weather conditions. That's why the conveyance was pushed off, they needed it to be perfect(little to no wind, high tide, full moon or new moon).

She does. Wonder why they haven't put the funnel back up. I'm sure having it lower makes a mess in the aft, those satellites are the same height.
I noticed she still hasn't had that final satellite installed. It was the only one missing during the float out and even now after the conveyance she is still missing that first satellite on the port side. Can't think of anything that would prevent them from installing it. The only thing left is North Star and that is far enough away to not impact it.
The only thing that could be stopping them would be the equipment not being ready to be installed (manufacturing delay). It's not like that would be blocking them with the over head work to put north start on
-
I'm not sure. I guess that was done before the ship turned around.
ahh ok ! Thank you
So I just watched the video that MeyerWerft put out and it appears that they must have taken the bow block off when they were waiting to go through the last lock...
-
Such tests are the reason why they bring the dishes onboard in Bremerhaven when the sea trials are done ;)
When did they take the bow platform and the aft pushing blocks off ?

This is the heeling test. They test out how far the ship can tilt to the sides.
Don't sit your drink down ! Lol

so where is she now then?
She is out in the north seas, doing some calibrations, waiting to dock in the morning at Eemshaven

I thought they would have been further along with the NCL ship !!! Soon she will be coming out and we get to do this all over again !!!

Printed our set sail passes also and went to the App Store for the Royal IQ App and still not available.
The app with not be released until October sometime

The lifeboats will still have too be lower down you can't just walk into them. Don't look like a safer way just a cheaper way. They save a lot of money that way. How much safe it it with those small walk ways.
Your have to lower the davit out, vs having the over head where you have to slide he davit out and then lower the cables to have the life boat become even with the side of the ship. In my opinion would be faster the new way vs the old way

Apologies if I missed this but if she's heading down the Ems tomorrow when are they adding the North Star's arm and capsule.
I'm fairly sure I recall a pic being posted that at least the capsule was at the Yard?
I believe it is after her first sea trial

I assume all times are local times.

Is Royal iQ available on App store ? I can't seem to find it?
I just finish my on line check in and on the Setsail pass says Royal iQ is available on App store.....
Not yet, I was told it would be available towards the end of October

I print mine at work, it don't cost me a dime. Just the labor to fold them! Lol

I think they loaded up the Quantum first to match the May date they gave following the reveal in march.

I get it, dynamic dining has taken a lot of time to get up and rolling, but they do need to tweak the system better
