  1. Don’t worry, they’ll tell you. it seem to me that that Yacht Clubbers, make up a good portion of the posters here? I wonder if Cruise Critic could add on an MSC Yacht Club sub category.
  2. This band marching through my ‘fine’ dining experience, No Way. This band marching through the buffet, Rock On.
  3. As an Aurea regular, I wish YC folks would keep to the YC area and out of the Top 19. Sorry if that offends the YC crowd.
  4. The thread was about how the Aurea experience differs from ship to ship. How does Yacht Club enter into that equation other than they have their own exclusive area and should leave the Top 19 to the Aurea folks.
  5. I’ve found just the opposite. On the Divina a few years ago, we had a female Cruise Director that was awful. Didn’t see her once around the ship, and her PA announcement came in the manner of Orders and Demands. On the other hand, last year on the Seaside, we had Benny. He was amazing. He was everywhere, always speaking with passengers and I can’t help smiling every time I hear, If there’s Magic in the Air.
  6. What was your room rate? Does it include parking and/or shuttle? I’ll also be on the Seascape on the 28th, and my 60th BD will be on 02 Oct.
  7. Is there any shade? The Top 19 on the Seaside was wonderfully place, with abundant shade. IMG_5241.mov
  8. Last summer, our Gondolier kindly assisted each of us out of the boat. Trust me, with all the work they do making those gondolas go, they are more than strong enough.
  9. Yacht Club is far above our means. That said, a balcony cabin just about max’s out our cruise budget. I’d much rather cruise every year or two, in a balcony, than once every five years in YC. That said, if any of the ‘affluent’ people on here want to adopt a 59 year old, I’ll happily tag along with your yacht club experience. I’ll even carry all your bags.
  10. If you have recently cruised MSC, what ship were you on, who was the Cruise Director and just for fun, how would you rate them from 1 to 10?
  11. In your opinion which are the ‘better’ Aurea balcony cabins on the Seascape. The Deck 9 cabins with the larger balcony. Or the Deck 14 midship balcony cabins? Do the Deck 9 balconies have loungers? Do any of the Area cabins, on any deck, include a bathtub? What dining room is used for Aurea dining? The skyline restaurant looks so cramped. Thanks All
  12. We’re you able to get any photos from the lighthouse that got close ups on the bow cabin balconies?
  13. If they do offer one, have you done it? Did it cost $$? Was it worth it?
  14. I know placed like Krazy Lobster and others offer boardwalk massages. Is there anywhere that offers a cabana or beach massage in an environment a little less chaotic than KL?
  15. Request. In Sept we are in an Aurea Balcony 9024. Any way you can get some outside photos of the starboard Aura balconies? I’m concerned that even being on the starboard side, our view of the lighthouse might be blocked by the bow of the ship.
  16. I’m more interested in which dining room they assign Aurea passengers to, or can you pick or even alternate dining rooms? For anyone who has used both MDRs on the Seaside, which did you prefer?
  17. Has anyone come across an app, that has a focus on Cruising?
  18. With Aurea on the Seaside, how does Priority Boarding work? Is there a special desk to start at? Also which is the two Main Dining Rooms is the Aurea My Choice dining assigned to? And for past Seaside passengers, which MDR is the ‘better’ experience. In my opinion they both, from the pictures I've seen, seem to be a bit underwhelming.
  19. We sailed on one of the first Divinia cruises after the Covid reopening. Aurea included, at that time, a massage for both passengers. Now it seems MSC has removed that benefit and replaced it with an amazing 10% spa discount. So my question is, is Aurea worth it? In my eyes it doesn't seem to offer much value other than anytime dining.
