  1. Me too! 🤔 At first I thought not as some fly home on arrival day and others stay overnight on the boat before flying home the next day. Then, after checking further online, I think we may do so. I suppose it's no different to having an ESTA to enter the US, regardless of mode of travel. Hopefully, someone will have the definitive answer.
  2. As I understand it, you can't complete it more than 72 hours of arrival, which for us will be when we are in St Maarten. That could be interesting for folk that may not have online access.
  3. One of the posts makes reference to sacking off the P&O link and doing it direct with the Barbados tourism site
  4. There is a previous thread here with advice: https://boards.cruisecritic.co.uk/topic/2894655-barbados-immigration-form/#comment-64326219
  5. Apart from the two on deck 17, where you may get some late night noise from folk walking from the Crow's Nest to the lifts, I don't think there's a poor location amongst the PF cabins. There are a few on deck 8 above the theatre but, unless you like to be tucked up in bed with your Ovaltine by 22:00, they won't be a problem. The gym and thermal suite won't be open at sparrow's fart or late at night, so the ones under them on deck 4 should be fine also. We, like you, are treating this as an 'extra' so went for the cheapest option. We though booked when the cruise was first released; that was out of necessity because we needed an accessible cabin. Luckily, the select fare at the time was the same as the saver fare, with the added benefit of the OBC, for which we received a recent boost of an extra £200. I note the current select fare in a PF cabin is the same as we paid, but with an extra £100 OBC. That said, the lowest grade accessible cabin on the select fare that was available a couple of weeks ago is one of the promenade fronting balcony cabins on deck 8, and at £1500 more than we paid, I would not have thanked you for it. If we could have guaranteed an accessible PF cabin being available this late, we would have done as you have, and saved a few quid. You indeed have got a bargain!👍
  6. I see what you mean. Is is too much to ask that P&O have armed security in that area to keep the great unwashed out?🙄😉
  7. The photo of the menu shows the prices by the glass and bottle below.
  8. If you haven't already done so, complete the Accessibility & Medical Questionnaire and send it to: accessibility@carnivalukgroup.com You should be able to download a copy through your cruise planner, but I've just checked ours and the link isn't working. Just ping an email to the address given, requesting the form, and they will send you one. They are usually fairly quick to respond. TUI also has a dedicated special assistance line: 02036361309. Their email address is: Welfareadmin@tui.co.uk For belt & braces for our upcoming trip I also contacted TUI. You still need to complete the form and send to Carnival though.
  9. Can you provide more detail about what you didn't like? Ta🙂
  10. Yes, that's what I meant; one side of the menu dedicated to the offerings of Marco Pierre White and the other side with the staples plus a couple of extras. Thanks for the information.👍🙂
  11. Whilst on the subject of the Chef's Table, can someone answer a query about Iona, which may also apply to Arvia? I am aware that, as with Iona, a section of the Horizon on Arvia will become the Chef's Table and a special menu curated by Marco Pierre White is offered along with Olly Smith's paired wines. Is that only for the celebration nights? Our cruise planner (Arvia) makes reference to the same menu being served in the MDRs on celebration nights. So, what's the difference? Is the Chef's Table just that specific menu with the wine pairings, whereas in the MDRs it is offered alongside the regular menu options, as we experienced on Britannia?
  12. And in the premium cabin it's only upgraded to 28kg each, which is abysmal. 🙄
  13. I was being ironic, hence the rolling eyes emoji!😉 (Zap and Snow Hill got it) I am up for the dress code and agree with your other points.🙂
  14. Standards, eh! I bet nobody stands up anymore when the captain enters the room!🙄
  15. It could be the day before, or the week before, or two weeks or more before. On a recent cruise our kids found out almost one month before. Probably as much chance as being at the front. The pesky thing about buying a cheaper rate fare, where your cabin is chosen for you is just that, it is chosen for you. The phrasing of your question is a little ambiguous; do you wish your cabin to be at the front, or not? Perhaps you could check your selected cabin grade against the deck plan, which may give you a vague idea as to where it is more likely you will be accommodated. Having said that, you could well be upgraded.
  16. As already stated, easiest, most direct, quickest, and probably cheapest option is National Express. An alternative is train to Waterloo then the underground to Heathrow. A hassle on the tube with luggage but you may wish to spend a couple of days in That London.
  17. On Britannia in September coffees were about £3 or just under, depending on what you had. To the best of my recollection, mocktails were sub £5
  18. Yes it does, I recall that from our last trip. I know how much we should have, I just wanted it in writing ahead of boarding; mainly to make sure the BLC bonus was added correctly.
  19. Thanks folks.👍 I can't find the final booking confirmation after I paid the balance in July. The original confirmation is incorrect as it didn't show the extra BLC credit, and we've have since had extra OBC. I'll send an email.
  20. I'm having one of those senior moments and have forgotten how to find out the value of our OBC. Previously I think I may have sent an email, but I feel certain I can get the information through my account or booking details. Can someone point me in the right direction? Thanks🙂
  21. That was interesting, thank you for sharing.🙂 I take it then the live feed in Brodies is Sport24? Is it also on the cabin TVs?
  22. Yes, you and I, and a few others no doubt, are thinking the exact same thing! 🙄
  23. So, it looks like we'll be going down with the captain and the orchestra!😉
