  1. Cue the photos of folk with their sad compo faces in their local rags, when they return.🙄
  2. Yes, they are; although I do believe a couple of dishes in the Olive Grove may carry a surcharge. Other included dining options are the three in the Quays - Roast, Fusion and Hook, Line & Vinegar.
  3. First time doing a TA for us, and so much cheaper than flying into and out of Barbados, as we did a few years ago.
  4. Spilling wine instead of it going in your gob? That wouldn't happen with a Yorkshireman! 🙄
  5. The first cruise is seven nights, so two formal nights. The second cruise is fourteen nights, so four formal nights. Therefore, six formal nights. -------------- OAlgo, you'll probably find the dress code adhered to on formal nights for the MDRs, Epicurean and the Crow's Nest. You'll be fine in smart clothing in the Glass House, Beach House. Not sure about Sindhu. Edit: On a previous Britannia cruise we ate in Sindhu on Valentine's Day, which was a formal night. We were dressed up, but others were wearing shirt and ties, and some had on shirts without ties. That though was in the Caribbean.
  6. Which Arvia have they reviewed then, the MDRs are Meridian and Zenith?
  7. St Petersburg was a destination we wanted to go to, but taking it off the itinerary was understandable. In September we had a fantastic cruise and felt totally safe, and would not hesitate in taking another Baltic cruise. By the way, what has the no-fly zone over war-torn Ukraine got to do with sailing in the safe waters of the Baltic?
  8. Uni or multi ...no sex please, we're British! 🤭
  9. That's a shame about your Caribbean trip, sorry to read that.
  10. You don't really get a sense of her scale until you see her next to the terminal building
  11. Casting it to the big telly, me sat on my recliner, under my heated throw, with a brew in hand, waiting for the action to start.😄
  12. The luggage allowance in PE is better than TUI: 46kg v 28kg
  13. ...and you're still 11kg shy of your allowance. I'd be packing a couple more bottles and some mixers, me! 🥃😉
  14. You are correct, when spending on board your dizzy doesn't kick in until all your OBC is depleted. Have a great cruise🙂
  15. With £630 to spend I wouldn't begrudge paying just shy of £5 for a bottle of Guinness. I may even treat our lass to a couple more cocktails!😉
  16. That's what the majority of ours would go on, bar expenses and speciality dining.
  17. We received an extra £200 back in September for our Arvia TA to Barbados in January; the consensus at the time was that P&O were trying to deter folk from cancelling before the final balance was due. We had paid the balance several months before whereas my sister and brother-in-law, who had not settled, got the same amount.
  18. We had a great Baltic cruise in September onboard Britannia and felt totally at ease and safe. When we booked it two years previous we were really looking forward to St Petersburg, but the current situation put paid to that. The ship was less than 70% full, whereas the Mediterranean cruises that preceded and followed it were almost full; so I reckon folk were cautious about travelling. Probably the same next year.
  19. Ah, yes; I recall looking at his site previously. Very detailed they are, too. Thanks for the reminder.👍
  20. Talking of... I've just checked our cruise planner for K301a and there is a port guide for St Kitts but not one for Grenada; we're going to the latter but they binned the former months ago.🙄
  21. Out of interest, what do they quote for PE? For TUI from Barbados it is £199 each.
  22. I concur; the ones that are available through the cruise planner may give you a starting point to help plan your own itinerary, but not much else.
