  1. Can you repost that so that we can read the whole thing?
  2. Or huddled up under a lifeboat out on deck during a raging storm. You probably can't hear a thing.
  3. I really want to hear more about this. Did they drag their mattresses out there? Move loungers down from the pool deck? Sleep on the bare deck?
  4. That's because they can make more money sailing somewhere else at that time of year.
  5. They can feel however they want and they can react however they want. It doesn't mean that the rest of us have to agree. It's just a freakin cruise. Why all the drama?
  6. Well, perhaps you're being a bit too sensitive. Thank you. Many of us don't want to be "other folks."
  7. What exactly were they scared of? A lot of people are scared by a lot of stuff. Perhaps they shouldn't sail, fly, go out at night, etc. I was on one particularly rough cruise that delayed our arrival into Seattle by a couple of hours. If I had an early flight (I didn't), I would have been "scared" about missing the flight. Beyond that? I actually did enjoy the rough ride. It was in fact "fun" for somebody who understands what is and is not risky about getting on a cruise ship. A lot of people are scared of roller coasters, while others have the time of their lives. This may not be any different. Not sure why you thought that line of reasoning was intended to be "funny."
  8. I've always just called a normal agent and it's been painless.
  9. A year or two ago, DD was Gold and we were Platinum. I asked the nice agent and she said "sure, she can just stay with you." I shared that here on the forum and was promptly chastised for cheating and putting the agent in a tough spot. Tough spot? No. Tough CC crowd? Sometimes. 🤣
  10. You can also buy it in advance and then have the excursion desk refund/rebuy once on board. I've done this successfully several times. It ranges from "easy" to "PIA," depending upon who is working the SHOREX desk. Last cruise I had to have the onboard credit girl walk over to the SHOREX clowns (yes, they actually had big red noses) and educate them.🤡
  11. 🤣🤣 I'm guessing somebody stepped out of bed into the water from their spilled water glass and, well, you know how some people just lose their minds! It all sounds like a fun E ticket ride to me. I love some rough seas and being able to pretend that I'm a real drunk pirate. Argggh.😎
  12. I'm going to need a little help with this one.....
  13. Have you ever read a report here of somebody NOT being allowed to apply a CN to an existing reservation?
  14. I don't believe this to be true, unless you're a stowaway deliberately hiding on the ship. They nominally target 10:00 (or later) to begin the boarding process and just check the box that all non-continuing passengers are off the ship prior to that point. It's not like the person on the dock calls HQ and says "hey, @ChiefMateJRKfinally walked off the ship so go ahead and start boarding." Sure, it's somebody's job to make sure that the stragglers are off, but they generally complete this without a problem. I've sat on the ship through a B2B transition, and the last names were called well in advance of the first parades of special Haven passengers (the ones following a crew member waving a "move aside, HAVEN coming through" sign).
  15. I can easily afford to pay for NCL internet, but I don't. It's not because I "steal it." I simply don't use any more that my free minutes because a) I don't go on vacation to have screen time and b) NCL's internet sucks so bad that 150 minutes of it is enough frustration for anybody.
  16. 9:30 is typically the "okay, we're not fooling around anymore, we're naming names" announcement. I generally wait until then so that there are no lines to exit the ship and terminal. If I have an earlier flight, I get off earlier.
  17. Possibly not. If you want Teppanyaki and Moderno, and you have two credits, than just book those first. You can then book Cagneys, Ocean Blue, LeBistro, etc. without having to pay anything up front.
