  1. Lol. You must be kidding. On my last couple of cruises when multiple ships were in port there were often no taxis around. Any taxi that arrived was filled immediately.
  2. The saga continues. Another week passes and still no refund. I made this reservation through a TA and it was apparent that the Celebrity representatives really did not want to talk to me on the last call. So, I re-engaged my TA to call and follow up on the refund. My TA and the Celebrity representative went back to work and re-calculated the refund amount. However, they did not include the amount I paid for shore excursions, internet upgrade and specialty dining. My TA will need to call Celebrity back correct the refund amount. We'll see what happens in another 7 - 10 days. I hoped the refund might be handled seamlessly because they are doing so many Covid refunds but it's clearly not the case for me. I hope others have a better experience.
  3. Just another example of declining service on Celebrity.
  4. Yep, that's correct. You didn't miss any any PUP opportunities
  5. How does only asking verbally change your vaccination status? If you are not vaccinated, you can't get off in Columbia without testing.
  6. You can't drink all day unless you start in the morning.
  7. Are you saying the home testing is meant to be a joke?
  8. My DW and I were in Covid quarantine on a recent Equinox cruise and I needed to call and get the process started. Call 844-418-6824 and ask to be transferred to the Engagement Center. You will need to know your reservation number. The refund will be a prorated refund of your DW's cruise fare but you will not get a refund of the taxes, fees or any cruise line insurance.
  9. You don't need to test, you can use this:
  10. There are no PUP opportunities, we're just killing time until Celebrity provides another opportunity. As soon as there is another PUP opportunity, we'll return to normal programming.
  11. The sad thing is that Celebrity has hooked me with the included beverage package. I don't know that I would cruise without a beverage package. I guess that was their plan.
  12. Why would you or anyone go to Oceania? Didn't you hear about the ship within a ship concept on the E-class ships? This is a big part of the E-class ship design and LLP's legacy.
  13. Absolutely!!! How can you enjoy a cruise without beer at the pool?
  14. Yep, I'm in that group of people. For the last 6 - 7 years, it seemed like I've always had at least 4 cruises reserved at a time, all have been with Celebrity. Now I only have two reserved, both with Celebrity. LLP has forced me to explore other vacation options. Maybe she did me a favor.
  15. No, that's not really true. Celebrity is assigning some of the newest and most interesting itineraries to the E-class ships, so you really don't have a choice with Celebrity if you don't like the E-class ships. I also expect some of the M-class ships to exit the fleet in the near future.
  16. I'll suggest that the jury is still out on her performance. Celebrity adopted the E-class ships under watch and those ships have some polarizing design attributes that cause many long-time cruisers to look for other alternatives.
  17. I thought we would get another opportunity when I saw this e-mail. Disappointed again. ☹️ As we approach the holiday season, I want to take a moment to wish you and your family a very happy Thanksgiving. It has been quite a year for us at Celebrity Cruises and none of it would be possible without you, our most loyal guests. Our newest Edge® Series ship, Celebrity BeyondSM, made her debut in the US and we kicked off her inaugural Caribbean season with an amazing naming ceremony on November 4th led by godmother Simone Biles and featuring beautiful performances from Leona Lewis. It was a moment I will never forget. And most recently, we announced our 2024-2025 season. It is our most ambitious season of sailings ever, with nearly 500 sailings that send our 16 Relaxed LuxurySM ships, including Celebrity AscentSM, the fourth ship in the highly acclaimed Edge Series, to more than 250 destinations in 70 countries. Highlights include year-round sailings with more than 40 different itineraries in Europe, Edge Series ships deployed to new regions of the world including Alaska, year-round sailings in Asia, new 3-night Caribbean itineraries, and so much more. Be sure to check out all the details at celebritycruises.com/2024-2025-cruises. Lastly, as you may know, I will be hosting my next Celebrate with the CEO cruise in Alaska next summer on Celebrity SolsticeSM on June 23rd. On my last cruise, Captain Dimitris Kafetzis joined me in his home country to curate all our guest tours in the Greek Isles. I’m thrilled to share that we’ll be continuing the tradition! Captain Kate McCue, our American Captain, will join me in Alaska to plan and host all the exclusive excursions and events both on and off the ship. So, book now!! And stay tuned for more exciting announcements. Whether you’re looking to escape the cold this winter in the Caribbean, or plan an epic escape to the exotics, there’s truly no better way to see the world than with Celebrity Cruises. Our biggest Black Friday event ever is going on now – you don’t want to miss it! I wish you a wonderful holiday filled with fun, good food, family, friends, and maybe some football! Thank you, as always, for your ongoing support and I hope to see you on board soon. All my best, LLP President & CEO, Celebrity Cruises
  18. We have found the remote location of Terminal 25 to be a problem getting a taxi when the port is crowded with a lot of other ships. The taxis have to pass all of the other terminals to get to Terminal 25 and they just don't get that far.
  19. Just as a point of reference, when I was isolated with Covid last month the staff didn't seem to care. I didn't ask them but they came into the cabin to deliver meals and replace towels. Having Covid didn't seem like a big deal to the staff
  20. Good Luck. The only good part of our hotel reservation was that I was able to book early arrival so we were able to get into our room at 9 instead of waiting until 3 pm
  21. Maybe I missed it, but how long are you staying in Fort Lauderdale and is HAL providing the hotel? I caught Covid last month on another cruise line and there wasn't any post cruise help. All they offered was a ride in a nice SUV anywhere I wanted to go. I think they just wanted me gone, they took pictures of our passports and we bypassed Customs and Immigration.
  22. Just a good lesson to get all of your quotes in writing so you can see these sort of fees. I would never use a TA charged fees over and above the commission from the cruise line. It may still be a good deal, only you can judge.
