  1. I’m about to sail with a VERY large group of friends on Nieuw Amsterdam, and have questions for anyone with experience using Chat on the Navigator app. 1) How do you find or connect with others on the app? Can you look them up by name, do you need their stateroom number or reservation number? 2) can you set up a group, or can you only chat only with one individual at a time?
  2. Never traveled in the Star level suites with Genie service (which sound awesome!), but many times on Oasis class ships in Grand suites and Owner’s Suites. Coastal Kitchen is a great perk. Happy hour in the Suite Lounge is nice, but the truth is that it’s hectic and crowded and not really the relaxing premium experience promised. I appreciate the importance of Pinnacle guests to Royal Caribbean, but there are so very many of them that finding seats in the lounge as suite passengers can be a challenge. Today on Harmony, ALL of the tables along the beautiful wall of windows were filled with Pinnacle members as soon as happy hour began. The space and the two dedicated concierges are really stretched thin with all of the Suite passengers and the Pinnacle members combined.
  3. I’ve gotten a couple of GREAT deals on Celebrity recently, they have a “no single supplement” promo good on many sailings through March 2023. I cruise solo in suites, and this has been the best deal I’ve seen in a very long time!
  4. But Royal Caribbean’s suite amenities aren’t much… only worth the upgrade for the actual space in your stateroom.
  5. This is my “can’t live without it” travel accessory!! It charges via USB. I sleep with it on the nightstand, blowing cool air at my head and providing a gentle white noise. I actually sleep with it at home and when I travel… I keep a spare on hand, too! Small and super easy to travel with, can toss it in my carry on or day bag for warm travel days. Puts out a lot of air, it was even my little buddy in the Millennium Penthouse last week!
  6. Doubtful. Move-up just seems like a way to salvage unsold inventory. Booking the bigger rooms outright is more profitable and predictable. Book what you are happy sailing in.
  7. Based on my limited experience in CS on Equinox and now just off the Penthouse on Millennium, the differences are tremendous. I was treated very well when in CS, got exactly what I paid for and expected. Used the app for my own reservations, asked the concierge for seats and was sometimes told not possible or offered alternative options. In the Penthouse, I felt as if I had a genie who made anything possible. Last minute seats at any venue, special treats or food delivered to the room. I’d ask who I should contact with shore ex changes or billing questions and my awesome butler magically took care of them instantly. No request was difficult or impossible. Everyone on the ship seemed to know my name! Maitres’d would see me approach and whisk me to prime tables ahead of anyone waiting. COMPLETELY different levels of service, the PS experience was truly magical and has probably ruined me forever! 😂
  8. Similar question: is there a way to stream music from iPhone or IPad to the TV/soundbar (specifically in upper suite on Millenium)?
  9. 6148- starboard side! I only booked about a month ago. Was very surprised to see the PH available, so jumped on the opportunity to “live large” for a week!
  10. Oh, my…. I sail in a PH on Millie a week from now, and am praying the weather allows me to enjoy Hubbard while luxuriating on that deck!
  11. jim_Iain- you are a fount of great info!!! I’ve found a huge amount of help in lots of your posts, and appreciate it very much.
  12. I love those angled balconies in 1615 and 1618! i had 1615 this past June.
  13. Ugh… that insane chaos in the WJ on boarding day makes me twitchy!
  14. My preferences on Equinox: ‘ Breakfasts in Luminae. Lunch in Luminae or Sushi on 5. LOVED Tuscan. Murano was fancy and the food great, but it’s a long, slow-paced dinner. And I found Le Petit Chef fun and charming- there are 3 different “shows”, each with its own fixed menu, all very good. You’ll be able to see the menus for each venue by night in the mobile app before you embark, so you can peruse and compare. Enjoy!
  15. If I already have booked an Alaska cruise on Celebrity that ends in Seward, can I now add the landtour portion separately? Couldn’t decide whether I could swing the extra time initially, but now want the whole Denali experience! I can’t find the answer on the Celebrity website, so wanted to check with you experts here. Thanks for any help!
