  1. I think they assumed people waiting late afternoon snack food would go to the Dock, Social Club or Pizza Place, but often I want a panini sandwich when getting back from a port!
  2. would still be a food court or cafeteria rather than a buffet as it’s not self-service. I think the main thing is that the whole set up is they assume 90% will done in the full service restaurants or at a dinner show, so most of the food court counters are only open breakfast and lunch, closing down around 3-4pm. I agree it should have redesigned menus with more dishes at dinner than currently and the existing lunch menu should continue to at least 4pm.
  3. For some shows the audience in the 10pm show can be better than the early 7 or 8pm, particularly the Miss Behave Show (on Valiant and Resilient Lady) which is more entertaining after a drink or two. But for many others like Duel Reality it doesn’t make any difference.
  4. The plastic containers are no more wasteful than the plates, they all get washed and resided, it’s just the containers have lids as they go in self-service areas. Also the grab and go containers are designed so that you can take them back to your room if you wish (used containers get collected by housekeeping for washing and re-use. There are no single use plastics anywhere on the ship. Taco bar serves breakfast burritos 7am to 11am then Tacos 12-3pm. I agree that some of the hours don’t make sense as most of the stations are closed for dinner, but they do show the hours in the app and the printed times guide, then the menu shows the options for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It’s also better than it was a year ago, used to close breakfast at 10.30am with very few options available in that hour and a half until lunch and then the same at 3pm, they used to close the entire sweet counter just when we want afternoon snacks.
  5. You can pick up the paper guide at Sailor Services on deck 5, the Chart Room (big red table) on deck 7, Grounds Club coffee bar on deck 7, Grounds Club coffee bar in the Galley deck 15.
  6. It originally aired on Channel 5 in the UK two years ago. Some of the false drama and reliance on a cliffhanger before the ad break gets old quickly. I don’t think it always shows the line at its best.
  7. In general I think longer cruises do work out a bit cheaper anyway on a per night basis, so in a way it would make sense if they did give a small discount for back to back as usually you would pay less for one eight night compared to two four night anyway.
  8. Bungee class only holds around six people, if you see it available to book it should be a priority. VHS 80s workout needs to be booked but doesn’t usually sell out too quick, it’s in the Manor so holds 40+ Game On I’m not certain but think it’s the arcade games tournament?
  9. I was going to say exactly this, it is only while the muster drill is going on that it locks you out, before that period you can get booking.
  10. I think it’s just cabin number, name and date of birth. Very similar to logging in to hotel WiFi, it’s linked to your room not a password login.
  11. I think that very much depends on the port and the itinerary, I didn’t see it in the Mediterranean and had taken pool towels I was bringing back.
  12. When we went to the beach we just grabbed some pool towels from the pool area and took them with us.
  13. It’s not freestyle, just a touchscreen soda fountain. Options are Coca-Cola, Diet Coke, Coke Zero, Sprite, Fanta orange and Seagrams ginger ale. The juice from concentrate machine usually has orange and apple juice, still lemonade, iced tea and sometimes fruit punch or POG.
  14. I doubt they would even check the size of each can. Just take 12 of whatever is the standard size, here in the uk it’s 330ml, US 12oz is about 355ml
  15. Boarding doesn’t start until 2pm (unless you are in a suite) so on busier cruises runs right through to 4pm. But it’s likely they will be running early and if you show up at 3pm you may get to board sooner than the slot you picked.
  16. No MNVV is charged directly to a credit card, not to the room account, that loophole was closed two years ago. Behind the Scenes tour at $200 per person is an easy way to use up loot, but spa access, bingo, activities and shopping are all good uses.
  17. A friend has had a cruise on another line cancelled in April as they won’t have the ship back in Europe in time due to the issues. But no idea what VV is planning.
  18. I’m not the OP but I do think 7pm dinner so you can see the 10pm show or 8.15pm dinner after the 7pm show is often best.
  19. They do need to start doing the Disneyworld thing of yelling at people to move down every row and fill in every available seat in the Red Room. There is often quite a lot of spare seats as groups leave an empty seat between themselves and the next group. Now the ships are busier it would help if people filled every seat properly.
  20. Ah, my last cruise was September so must have changed just after. The main course and dessert hasn’t changed at all though, still the same as 2022.
  21. I assume the switch to the goats cheese instead of burrata is very recent then.
  22. No that’s Risky Quizness that has the gameshow format. Salty uses paper and pens.
  23. I think the chicken needs some extra sides alongside it, some potato or similar .
  24. Also once on the ship the app runs on the local network not the internet so doesn’t make a difference if you have the streaming premium WiFi or the standard one to the app performance. Also make sure mobile/cellular data is off, last time I could not get the app to work after check in because my phone hadn’t fully moved to the WiFi for some reason, once I did that it worked better than on land.
