  1. Yes she should make her own account in the app and then link using the booking reference. Or might already link if you added her email at the booking stage (I’m not entirely sure how that bit works, my first cruise was two years ago and since then the voyages just appear in the app when my husband books them). as far as i know if there are any check in steps not done then you get sent to a seperate check in line at the terminal to complete them.
  2. others have said there was IT changes, it’s not just the bookings. Most of those with cancellations wouldn’t now be using the app to book dining or anything.
  3. They did something to their IT systems last week and it’s made everything even worse than it was.
  4. You could always get a mega rockstar suite as that comes with unlimited thermal suite access 😛
  5. I agree that a lot of dishes weren’t served with enough vegetables. I love the corn in Pink Agave but there wasn’t a green vegetable option for those who wanted it. At the Wake there is creamed spinach and mushrooms but still not the healthiest. Gunbae is probably the worst for vegetable sides, but that’s not kinda expected with the type of cuisine. The meal at the Ship Show dinner show probably needed something else on the plate alongside the chicken escalope. But I eat lunch from the salad bar in the Galley regularly when onboard, the choice there is pretty good and they also have daily specials of smaller salads along with the menu options or create your own.
  6. They did something to their IT systems last weekend, nothing has worked well since.
  7. Social insider is four single bunk beds only I think, don’t think there is any other option. If you want a double you need the regular insider.
  8. Yes anything that gets charged to your room account gets taken from loot.
  9. Pretty much yes. Some bars and similar have slightly different furniture layouts, but the cabin positions are the same.
  10. You can only cash out the winnings, not the loot that hasn’t been played. So if you load $20, play $10 and win $15 you can cash out the $15 leaving $10 loaded for future play.
  11. Does this help? Virgin Voyages Lady Ship Grid - 09.08.23.pdf
  12. Yep the vegetarian one is the wedge shape, I assume the standard round one uses gelatine. They are both coconut and chocolate but the vegetarian has a stronger coconut flavour and the regular round one has a stronger chocolate flavour.
  13. It’s a chocolate and coconut dessert with a thick mousse texture
  14. It’s plausible then you will get the $600 loot for MNVV, $600 bar tab from the promo and yet to come is the $600 loot for the cancellation and rebooking. Will have to wait and see for a few days maybe?
  15. log in and see what add ons actually show for the booking.
  16. I think it’s referring to the date shore excursions as it’s a generic message.
  17. The FAQ implies once in international waters then it’s 18. “The drinking age in international waters is 18, in the United States it's 21, and in other ports, we'll go with whatever their country's laws specify.”
  18. Yep we are looking at that Barcelona to Athens, it’s a great price and has a nice itinerary. Weather might be a little cooler in October but still pleasant. The Portsmouth to Barcelona itinerary is adding on £161k of taxes so I think they’ve inputting something wrong. The voyage fare before taxes isn’t so bad.
  19. Virgin is his brand but Virgin Voyages was started by Nirmal Saverimuttu and Tom McAlpin. Writing to the Virgin Voyages CEO is likely to go to the escalations team within the cruise company rather than just getting lost within the wider Virgin group. Effectively by completing the from aren’t those who have been displaced getting first crack at rebooking? If you are happy with sailing from San Juan instead of Miami one suggestion would be to not worry about a suite and just get an XL sea terrace instead, the room is almost as big as an aft suite and there are significantly more of them so chance of booking one is much better, there are only seven aft suites. Then get a refund on the fare difference and see if you can talk the agent into giving you additional onboard spend to make up for the loss of the in-room bar benefit.
  20. Depends how you look at the stated intention, they intended to run cruises from San Juan and they still are running cruises from San Juan. When booking a flight you book to go from New York to London, it doesn’t so much matter if it’s a 747 or an A380 transporting you. It could be looked at that way here, people booked to cruise from San Juan and they still are. Unfortunately due to the availability of the new ship they can’t run as many cruises from Miami as planned
  21. Yep but still therefore closer to the running of the business than Sir Richard.
  22. Stating that people booked on Valiant will sail on Valiant isn’t really relevant either. I’m not claiming to know what the plan was, but my guess is there were more people booked to sail from San Juan and therefore the business decision is to keep the San Juan itineraries and cancel the Miami ones. But as we don’t have access to the sales data we have to assume that VV decided to make the decision which makes them the most money.
  23. Or you can look at it as those who want to sail from San Juan are sailing from San Juan irrespective of the ship they are on.
  24. Richard Branson has zero to do with the running of Virgin Voyages. Tom McAlpine is the CEO so is the person ultimately responsible for the company. Virgin just owns 49% of the business and Richard owns Virgin. He might be on the marketing but he won’t be signing things off day to day, that’s for the board of Virgin Voyages.
