On our cruise, vouchers did show up on the folio as costing $0. That's how we kept up with how many we had left. I used all 4 vouchers at other bars on days that I got a diamond lounge drink that didn't show up on the folio, so no they didn't use a voucher or charge me for diamond lounge drinks. I don't think this is normal per say but that's what our experience was on the Freedom in May of this year.

Your mileage may vary, but we went on the Freedom in May and never got charged for our drinks in the diamond lounge. They would ask our room number and we would give it, but it never showed up on our folio. We went almost every night for snacks and a glass of wine. Once I even ordered a cocktail that they got from the Viking crown and still was not charged for it. It might not be every ship that operates this way, but the freedom diamond lounge is very relaxed.

We always do late seating and love it. No rush to get back from a port day and still have time to get ready for dinner, no wait for a table, and it gives us an excuse to have a heavy snack around 4 PM to tide us over 🙂

If your preferred time is 7:30, it is probably worth it to do traditional at 8 instead. Guaranteed same table and waiter every night, no wait. Probably worth the half hour delay if my time is so difficult!

Yes, there are people at the end of the dock you can ask and there is also a map. The map is on the website too if you want to check. All beaches except beach club and all pools except the water park are free. Beach chairs and umbrellas are free. Lunch and snacks are free. It's a very nice beach day if you don't want to spend any money, but they advertise the cabanas and day beds that cost extra alot. No need for those though.

That's not true. I did not have 80 points and was able to get my husband diamond. I did not have any luck on the phone, but call first and have them connected to your account If they are not showing diamond, go to the diamond lounge when you board and have the concierge there fix it. Just tell them that you are diamond but your husband and baby are not. I was successful on my most recent cruise and they even prorated my husband's drinks to give him the 4 free drinks a day that diamond members get.

So maybe I'm wrong with how this is supposed to work, but we are having issues getting my husband diamond status from me. The situation before we got married: Me: Diamond status 76 points (inherited from parents) Husband: Gold status 10 points I called and they added a relationship so he should get Diamond status as well (at least that's what they said on the phone!). However our accounts now say: Me: Diamond status 76 points Husband: Emerald status 76 points I was under the impression that he would keep his points at 10 and just get the Diamond status, and the second rep on the phone agreed but it still just says Emerald. Any clues on what to do at this point? Because I don't technically have enough points to be Diamond myself, does that mean my husband isn't able to have Diamond status with me? Our cruise is in May so I still have time to work it out, but this is a very confusing situation. Especially with the drink credits every day, I want to get him Diamond if possible!
